Middleboro: On Saturday, Aug 15, The Central Cafe and The Bartending Service of New England are sponsoring a Patio Pop Up event featuring Burt Wood School alumni Jillian Marie Jensen /Amber Eyes. The event will take place before dusk and less than 50 people will be in the audience.
A portion of the suggested cover charge will benefit The Alley Theatre and The Burt Wood School of Performing Arts which has been closed since March 15 due to the pandemic. This summer marks the 25th anniversary of the opening of The Burt Wood School of Performing Arts. Lorna J.Brunelle is excited to feature members of the alumni at various Pop Up Patio events.
This Patio Pop Up is at 147 Centre Street next to The Alley Theatre in downtown Middleboro, and will feature Central Cafe pizza, a full cash bar, and live music from Amber Eyes. The bar opens at 5:00 p.m. The band goes on at 5:30 p.m. The sugggested cover charge is $20.00 per person. Complimentary parking is available at the Middleboro Town Hall or behind the old Benny's department store.
You may remember Jillian Jensen from X Factor Season 2 or from American Idol Season 13, but back in September 2018 Jillian moved home to Massachusetts from Los Angeles to fulfill her life long dream of having a country band.
From the first rehearsal, everyone knew they had found something special and decided to commit to giving the band a proper chance. Since the start of the band, they have had some really cool opportunities on their plate: performing their originals on WATD, as well as, on Country 102.5 and also opening for one of their favorite country acts, Old Dominion.
Jillian, Andrew and Mike were shocked to find that their self titled debut album charted #69 on the Top 100 Country Charts just after it's release. Now they are on to album #2 and currently recording with Sean McLauglin at 37' Productions in Rockland, MA where they put together the "Amber Eyes" debut.
