Good to reconnect with you and find you near me…
This Vino Rosato Frizzante by Francesco Cirelli from Abruzzo, is organically produced.
A sparkling wine with a beautiful shiny cherry red color and also great aromas of fresh cherry fruit, coca cola, very mineral and refreshing with tannins like slightly bitter raw artichoke, enough fizz and a great dry finish, so much fun!

Sometimes it is just very comforting to take a familiar road… Arianna Occhipinti‘s red blend SP 68 is just doing that for me right now! A juicy, spicy and refined Frappato and Nero d’Avola blend, perfect with or without food.

Wow, a great orange version of a Sauvignon Blanc!
The next generation at Bikicki winery in Fruska Gora / Serbia, came up with something special here…
This S/O 2020 is a very focused and quite dramatic unfiltered Sauvignon Blanc with skin contact, even though one could say it is a reinterpretation of Sauvignon Blanc, it has a lot of the varietal left in it.
It has more apricot, peach and ripe apples than one would expect from a Sauvignon Blanc and a lot of power with gingerbread and orange candy and its 14% alc., yet with a refreshing tart iced charmomile tea at the end.
It is delicious, new and with a lot to discover.
I recommend trying this for sure!

Matthiasson‘s crispy and shiny California Rose Wine is quite something!
100% fun, with depth for the one that is looking for that, always bright and zesty it keeps you on your toes with every sip… Very well made in California with Grenache, Mourvedre and Counoise grapes, it is great to pair with sweeter food, like Shrimp Pasta, other shellfish, broccolini and sweet green peas or fava beans, a frittata, salads… the salty minerality in this delicious Rose will work it’s magic!

Arnot - Roberts ‘California Rose‘ 2022 is as touching as the first one I had years ago! A juicy, dry and light yet at the same time complex and deep work of art from 75% Touriga National, 9% Tinta Cao, 9% Trincadeira and 7% Grenache… made by two artists in Healdburg California.

A nice image of a wine that I’m still trying to find in my glass…
‘Pinoir’ by Bodega Cauzon 2018, a high altitude Pinot Noir from the Sierra Nevada near the city of Granada in Andalusia Spain, for sure cool climate and very promising!
A great nose with edgy Pinot Noir farming aromas of fresh cut dry hay and herbs, a lot of cellar moistness and very little brown sugar and Forest berries, quite Pinot! The color is beautiful as well, clean, bright and beautiful.
I have to look for it while tasting, at first it is not polished at all and the cold night and warm days did not do the magic I was hoping for. It disappears a little to quick for my tastebuds, but I’m likeing the naked no wood effort. I recommend not to cool it down to much, the light 11,5% need time and some warmth and loving in the glass to open up, but it is worth a word or two and it is a new wine experienced!

Seehof Pinot Noir Rosé 2021
Wow, so zippy and fresh, it can undo your shoes..! But despite the bright citrusy tang it also has beautiful wild strawberries, floral and herbal aromas, this is definitely a Rosé for the summer, the Rosé season is here!

Pearl Morissette ‘Primesautier’ 2020 made from 100% Lemberger/Blaufraenkisch grapes from the Four Mile Creek in central Niagara-on-the-Lake. This stuff is so much fun and offers so many wonderful and explosive aromas, that even the left over in the glass from yesterday is still full of beautiful dark fruit and spice scents.
Uncompromising wines from a small corner in Ontario, Canada are leaving their expressive mark all over the world now, thank you Francois Morissette!

Amazing stuff from Portugal by Aline Domingues from the Planalto Mirandes, tras os montes, ‘Menina d’uva’ translates to ‘the girl from the grape’.
After having her white and rose wine in Lisbon, the red with me across the ocean...
What a wine, made from a bunch of old native different red varietals, it is inky yet fresh and bright, with a saltiness and amazing acidity that is simply mindblowing. It is like drinking a red wine full of shellfish and salty stones, simply stunning!
Why does one bottle of wine only have 0,75 Litres?!?
