Wow!!! Everybody had great ideas to name our new bar. We had to pick one, right? Nope we mashed two ideas together and this is what we chose. I hope you guys like it and visit. So here is what we come up with. We used Rick Fentress’s idea of Blueberry and Judy Peterson’s idea of Baari.

BLUEBERRY BAARI

Let me tell you why…. In 1891, because there were so many wild blueberries, the Ojibway called it Menahga. That's what Menahga means is “blueberry”. Baari simply means bar or pub in Finnish. Alot of Finnish people around here.

Thank you, we chose 10 other winners for prizes to be given out at Camp Carlson. They will be posted there in the coming days. Judy and Rick you can pick up your prize at Camp Carlson too. Remember to…like…comment…share if you feel it. That is where we pick winners of prizes. We have chosen many already from band posts. They will be posted in Camp Carlson in near future. Come have a Blueberry Nutrl or a blueberry lemonade there will be a couple other specialty drinks we come up with.

Another “what’s been happening at Mid Summer Music Fest post”. Where do we start? I know let’s start with this pic of our building a new bar behind the sound booth. With the bossman “Brett” gone in Europe let’s get crazy and give some s**t away. He will never know. So help me name this bar. Comment what you think would be a good name. We are in process of ordering banners so now is a good time to get this bar named. Winner will be announced in our Camp Carlson group. So if you haven’t joined yet this gives you good reason. Multiple wrong answer winners will be picked also.
Our campsite building crew is at it again clearing more space, we named it MOJO. There probably won’t be camping in Mojo this year but it will be ready for 27’ while you’re on a walkabout you should stroll through and check it out. We still have some campsites available in the Veterans camping. It would be nice to fill that up. I’m thinking of moving the merch booth all the way across the bowl over by Jennys bar. It makes sense I guess. With opening up our new bar we will not have the busch lite trailer bar that sat in middle of music bowl. Just looking for something a little more permanent. We are meeting with our beer and liquor suppliers next week. We have busy schedules coming up with meeting with Rob our stage guy. Leni our main man. Todd and Troy our production guys. Johnny our stage manager Scott our transportation guy. And almost every weekend with something going on. This Saturday is a show in Fargo with Prey for Reign.
Remember if you wanna have a chance to see your favorite band to visit Camp Carlson and write your suggestion in book.
And yes the bar will have a roof by festival time. Thank you all for reading this far and see you in July. Ps. Don’t tell Brett
