Hello all!!!! Going to be bit of a post so please bare with us as we write this.
It has come to our attention after the announcement of this years Memphis Hates You Fest and the after party on Sunday , that there is an on going issue with one of the bands booked on the Sunday night line-up.
We have been made aware of some abuse accusations on one of the members and we have made the decision to pull this band from the line- up after hearing your concerns. Not only will we be pulling them from the after party show on Sunday , but we will not be asking them to play any of our other shows that Memphis Hates You has in the future.
We want to also state that we in no way support anyone that is an abuser of any kind. We DO NOT , support any hateful acts of any kind. We DO NOT support racism, transphobia, anti LGBTQ, domestic abuse, or anything that is deemed hateful towards any group of people.
With that being said we also need you the public’s help as well . Please come to us and inform us as to things happening around us as we don’t always know who has done any of these vile acts. We need our community to assist us as we don’t always know what is going on at all times, yes we are in the community a lot but there is always those that are not known to be doing these hateful acts and we need to be made aware of this so that we can take action as soon as we can .
Memphis Hates You is here for the music community band and fans alike and we want to make sure that all that come to our events under stand that we WILL NOT put up with this kind of aggression toward anyone that wants to come to our events. We want our events to be a safe space for all and if anyone comes to any of our events and wants to bash or instill fear to anyone involved you will be removed and we will make it public to who you are so that the community knows who you are and we will expose your hate to others so that you will be banned from any other MHY event.
