We heard a rumor last week that our Tavern Frogg was spotted in North Carolina. Having been abducted from OWT in the fall of 2007, Tavern Frogg was pictured on several adventures in exotic locations. During an attempt to escape his kidnapper, Frogg jumped too high, hitting his head so hard that he was knocked unconscious. This unfortunate event led to amnesia. Tavern Frogg never again realized he was living another life.
Unfortunately when we arrived, T Frogg was no longer with us. We heard the story of his wild life and eventual passing. It took place on Wednesday, the day before we arrived. The story included many blissful days just relaxing on his lush lilly pad. T Frogg passed peacefully - doing it "Froggy Style" - with one of his lady frogs. Ironically sharing the same date of his passing with his idol, Hugh Hefner.
Surviving Mr. Frogg are two adorable bug-eyed babies... coming home to the Tavern on Sunday are Jiggy W. and Lilly P. Frogg.

I thought the person that took the Frogg would simply return it out of courtesy. I am making a simple request now - please return the Frogg to the Old Whitten Tavern. It signifies more than just being a silly stuffed animal. Thank you.

The Tavern Frogg has been missing for over a week now... Monday a new facebook profile appeared... Wilhemia Jones. With that profile came a page... Froggy Gone Wild. The Tavern Frogg needs to be returned to the Old Whitten Tavern. Please!

Rib-et! What an afternoon to be at the Tavern! We had a good crowd for the first BIG GAME of the college season. The flat screens were on the FLA -v- UT game WITH sound! Just like being there!

Its weekend in fall... its FOOTBALL time!!!
Saturdays games are highlighted by the Fla -vs- UT collision (starts at 2:30).
Sundays games we've got 'em ALL... EVERY TEAM, EVERY GAME, EVERY WEEK!
Beer specials and FREE POOL 'til 6pm everyday.

The Frogg is getting all hopped up! The UT/Florida game is Saturday (tomorrow) at 2:30! The Tavern (my home) is inviting everyone out to watch the game on 2-55" flat screens and a 47" flat screen! ~THE SOUND WILL BE CRANKED UP FOR THIS ONE~
