It’s with mixed emotions that we’ve decided not to hold our annual Gathering for Goosey this year. Over the last few years we’ve noticed the strain it puts on our younger friends and family. They want to support us however the weeknight is proving to be challenging when juggling (now) school-aged kids and work schedules…particularly since many travel from off-Cape to attend.

We’re fortunate that our kids have loving and loyal friends who want to remember Lauren and support her legacy. We’re going to think about something family-oriented to try and be more inclusive and convenient for them.

We're grateful to Siena Italian Grill & Bar and their amazing team for creating 13 years of unforgettable memories. The Gathering for Goosey was a night not to be missed. Without exception, every year was spectacular. It was truly a magical evening filled with friends, family, and fond memories of Lauren. From the bottom of our hearts - thank you. We’re grateful beyond measure for your friendship and support.

Stay tuned for details on what we're hoping will be an equally wonderful event to celebrate Lauren...late Spring. In the meantime, Merry Christmas to all...enjoy this magical time of year when Peace, Joy, and Love take priority...as they should all year!

Message: We were seated next to the most adorable young couple at Valentine’s dinner at Cafe Assisi in Wrentham. We chatted with them the entire meal and they goosed us with dessert. Then Nick shared the story of his cousin Lauren. What a beautiful way to honor and remember her life. Dave and I feel very fortunate to have shared a special dinner with Nick and Carolyn 💜. We will goose it forward!

Pretty sure this is our first backseat goosing...at least the first who admitted to it! Such a great story for this holiday season. We're blessed that so many have embraced Lauren's mission of kindness. Thanks for sharing.💛💛💛

Subject: Backseat goose!

Message: I drive for Uber as a side hustle. I received a call to pick up somebody in Mashpee, MA. I drive out of Plymouth, so that was a little bit out of my territory and the destination was also Mashpee, so I took it. A woman got into my car and we chatted about a bunch of things. Then the conversation turned to her. She had lost her husband a few weeks prior. Suddenly. Having been through a sudden death five years ago with the loss of my stepson, I shared my condolences and how impressed I was with her getting out. She said she made a decision to keep moving forward. It was inspiring. With a very generous tip she goosed me. I feel honored and challenged to find a worthy recipient of a goose. Fortunately, being an Uber driver provides a lot of those types of opportunities.

I feel blessed.

Lauren was a big fan of our heroes in uniform...and this is a great way to support a terrific program while honoring the brave men and women at the Mashpee Police Department...aka Mashpee's Finest. Thanks for all who support The Goosey Fund...your generosity is going to good use for sure!

The season of giving is in full swing and our annual holiday Shop With A Cop is quickly approaching! We will be accepting donations through December 18th!

Last call for registrations! We're less than a week away from The 10th Annual Goosey Fund Golf Tournament! Sign-up closes tomorrow night (Sunday, July 14th) so we can finalize the rosters. It's shaping up to be another wonderful day of friendhsip, fond memories, lots of laughs, and maybe some golf. Thanks to everyone who's registered...we appreciate your support!
