We are sad to share that our beloved member, Sigfried Charow, passed away on April 18th. He was a cherished member of the Austrian Society and will be dearly missed by all. A Celebration of Life will be held in August of this year. Location and date will be shared once confirmed.

I'm sad to report that our mother, Marianne, passed away last night.

She was 87 years old, and went to the hospital last week for a scheduled heart bypass surgery. Upon arrival, the cardiac team found that she could not have surgery, and placed her in ICU to monitor her closely and attempt to help her get stronger for the surgery. Unfortunately, her health kept declining.

She was looking forward to spending a few more years with her children and grandchildren, after the loss of her husband in November.

We take comfort in the fact that she had a joyful, peaceful Thanksgiving and Christmas season with us.

I will post funeral arrangements in the next day or two.
