I think "Nopales, Tunas & Pink Sky" could fit into a few different places. Where will you display it?

Nopales! Originally, this prickly pear cactus had a big blue sky as its backdrop. I wanted to play some more with my pop-art vibe with a pink color/nature combination. I am beginning to find the color pink playing a heavier role in my nature images recently. Clearly this is influenced by my years living in Mexico. This piece on an open wall space in Palm Springs is a must! Any wall space would be blessed!

A lot of people hold off on collecting art because they rent and feel uncertain about committing to walls they do not own. But art does not belong to a wall. It belongs to you.

Renting is not a reason to live with bare walls. It is a reason to collect work that matters enough to keep moving (and growing) with you.

"Nopales & Tunas" and my other work are connected to the people who love them, not just the places they're displayed.

Full Bloom Tulips 3

I bring home flowers for my partner every week. We love fresh flowers in our home. During the last week of March in 2025 I purchased a bouquet of Parrot Tulips. I usualy put the fresh cut flowers on the kitchen island so everyone at home can enjoy them. They opened up right away and were so wild to observe. Each day expanding their vibrant petals more. I kept thinking I should photgraph them everytime I would walk by. On the sixth day of them showing off all their glory, I saw a single pedal drop to the island coutertop while eating a tuna salad sandwhich. I said to myself, "If I don't capture this right now, I'll always regret it". I immediately stopped eating my sandwich and poped my lunch plate into the fridge for later. I gently lifted the vase of tullips and slowly walked to the garage studio. I set up some white paper off a roll I already had open and gingerly set the vase in the middle of the white seamless backdrop. I began to capture these amazing flowers that spoke to me all week long. After about 40 minutes I was done photgraphing them. At the very moment I set the camera down, the petals all began to fall off. It was as if they were holding on a little longer....waiting for me to capture their essence and see me smile all so satisfied knowing I got the shots I needed before taking their last breath. 35mm | f1.4 | 1/800 | iso 400
