Horse crazy since a little girl, I've had a lifelong passion for horses and all animals. It has been my dream to have horses someday, but lessons, leasing and showing here and there have had to do as having horses in the city isn’t easy (or cheap) to be able to do! Besides horses, I have a gazillion other interests and hobbies as well; including traveling, photography, running in 5k’s- 1/2 marathons, going to Disneyland, supporting charity events and other amazing non-profit organizations, going to Angel’s games, sports in general (especially HOCKEY!!), finding and trying out tea salons and other tasty places, WINE tastings, meetups, finding odd jobs, tutoring, enjoying the beach & river with friends and family. The list goes on and on and I cannot wait to share it all with you. I hope you enjoy my adventures and will go on some of your own in LA and in the OC in beautiful SoCal!!

🦞🎶 The Lobster Tour is BACK for stop 2 and this is one food festival lineup I definitely don’t want to miss! 😍

I headed to Rubio's to try the latest headliners on The Lobster Tour, featuring sweet, delicate, wild-caught Norway Lobster from the cold North Atlantic waters.

On our tasting lineup:

🧀 Norway Lobster Quesadilla — loaded with lobster, garlic herb butter and LOTS of melty cheese, with guacamole, salsa fresca & sour cream.

🔥 Norway Lobster Nachos — piled high with lobster, queso blanco, black beans, roasted corn, guacamole & all the good stuff.

🍟 Baja Lobster Roll Plate — TWO buttery, toasted lobster rolls with seasoned fries. Yes, please. 🙌

The Lobster Tour keeps adding new “headliners” throughout the fall, with these limited-time creations available through November. And even after the tour ends, Norway Lobster is sticking around as a permanent protein option you can add to select burritos, bowls, salads and shareables!

✨ Sometimes you just have to stop and enjoy the moment! 💕🎀

There are certain places that instantly make you happy, and the Madonna Inn in San Luis Obispo has always been one of those places for me. 💗

This magical, whimsical, wonderfully over-the-top PINK wonderland on California’s Central Coast has had my heart since I was a kid. I remember staying here and completely fell in love with it, and now I’ve stayed here quite a few times as an adult, too!

But here's the thing, I don't even have to be staying overnight to stop. 😂 If I'm taking a California road trip and driving through San Luis Obispo, you better believe I'm pulling off the 101 for a bathroom break, a quick bite, a little wandering around and a chance to simply soak up all the pink, sparkly, kitschy magic. ✨💕

It really does feel like the place all of our childhood pink dreams were made of. 🎀👑

And the history makes it even more fun!

💕 The Madonna Inn opened its first 12 rooms on Christmas Eve 1958 and those first guests were surprised with a complimentary night's stay!

🏨 Today there are 110 uniquely themed rooms, making it one of the most unique hotels in California. Because who wants to stay in the same boring hotel room twice?! 😂

🪨 Some of the massive rocks used to build the Inn weigh more than 200 TONS!

🎀 And why SO much pink? Founders Alex and Phyllis Madonna wanted the Inn to feel fun, uplifting and fantastical, and Alex thought Phyllis looked especially beautiful in pink. 💗

So here's your reminder: pull over. Get the slice of cake. Wander around the ridiculously pink dining room. Take the pictures. Enjoy the little detour.

Sometimes the little moments ARE the adventure. ✨
