🍂 KCAOII FALL FUN STARTS NOW! 🍂

Sisters, get those calendars out — we have TWO opportunities to get together in September, and they’re just the beginning of a fun year ahead! ❤️

📚 SEPT. 25 | STORYTIME SOCIAL
Let’s show up for our KCAOII sister Jenny Buehler Horsley and support the wonderful work of Reach Out and Read Kansas City! Storytime Social is a fun evening benefiting an organization that helps put books into the hands of KC children and makes reading part of pediatric care.

🍂 SEPT. 29 | KCAOII HAPPY HOUR AT BIG GROVE
Our first KCAOII social of the fall! Come have a drink, grab a bite and — most importantly — catch up with your AOII sisters. Haven’t been to an event in a while? This is the perfect time to jump back in!

And we’re just getting started! 👀

What keeps KCAOII going? You do. 🌹

The friendships. The happy hours. The celebrations. Welcoming new graduates. Staying connected with sisters we’ve known for years — and meeting ones we’re just getting to know.

All of those things happen because alumnae choose to support KCAOII through their annual membership dues.

2026–27 dues are due this month, and every membership matters. Your dues help cover the programs, communications, events and chapter expenses that allow us to continue building a strong and active AOII alumnae community here in Kansas City.

And remember: You don’t have to attend every event for your membership to make a difference. Simply renewing your dues helps ensure KCAOII will be here — for you, for our newest alumnae and for the sisters who come after us.

If you haven’t renewed yet, now’s the time. Thank you for continuing to support KCAOII and our sisterhood! ❤️🌹

When you are asked about donating to the Ruby Fund, it just seems like one more “ask” from another charitable organization — albeit one for which you have a special affinity. 🙂 But when you read about a sister like Emily, you suddenly realize that it really matters to a specific sister. You may not know her personally, but you’ve met lots of sisters just like her. So, when you are paying your dues for 2026-27, consider adding an extra few dollars for the Ruby Fund. You’ll be making a difference that you can’t even imagine!

It’s Dues Time, Sisters! 🌹

A new KCAOII year is beginning, and 2026–27 alumnae dues are due this month!

Dues may seem like a small administrative detail, but they’re truly what keep our chapter going. Your membership helps KCAOII:

• Plan fun social events that keep us connected
• Welcome recent graduates and new alumnae to our sisterhood
• Support scholarships and opportunities for collegiate and alumnae members
• Cover the behind-the-scenes costs of communications, programming and chapter operations
• Keep AOII connections strong in the Kansas City area

Most importantly, paying dues is one of the simplest ways to say, “I want KCAOII to continue.” Even if you can’t attend every event, your membership helps make those events—and our chapter itself—possible.

If KCAOII has given you friendships, connections, memories or simply a way to stay connected to AOII after college, we hope you’ll renew your membership for 2026–27.

Dues are due this month, so now is the perfect time to renew! 🌹

And if you know an AOII alumna in the Kansas City area who isn’t yet a member, invite her to join us. There’s always room for another sister at the table.

We’re proud of the incredible commitment that KCAOII member Carey Unger provides to our sisterhood in her service on the International Board — especially her recent painstaking efforts in reviewing our Governing Documents. We’re in awe of the work she’s doing on all our sisters’ behalf!

Woot!

What a great time kicking off summer with sisters! Sisters we hadn’t seen in AGES. (“I didn’t recognize you as a blonde!” LOL) NEW sisters who just graduated. (“Good luck on that interview in St. Louis!”) Sisters catching up, sharing tips and advice, talking about the most RANDOM topics! (Auras? Ghosts? IRS complexities? Remodeling the master bath? We covered it all!)

Even better? We’re already planning our next event! We got lots of input about what part of the city would work best for our next get-together, shared suggestions of cool spots, and we’ll be sharing those details soon!

In the meantime, we missed those of you who couldn’t join us! But we look forward to seeing you soon! (Tag yourself or a sister you recognize and say hello!)
