John Calvert was a Hollywood action star, world traveling magician, hypnotist, and illusionist. He is in the Guinness Book of World Records as the oldest, actively performing magician. No longer with us I saw him perform on stage at a magic convention. His sleight of hand was impressive. I met him several times over the years. He was part of a bygone era in magic.
