Hello Losers 💪🏻🤘🏻

Women’s History Month isn’t just about pretty quotes and hashtags… It’s about the women who built s**t in rooms they weren’t even supposed to be in.

We have a sign behind our bartop that we take very seriously……
WELL BEHAVED WOMEN RARELY MAKE HISTORY!

Now, Let me put you on game real quick 🐦‍🔥

Back in the 1920s, during Prohibition, when alcohol was illegal, there was a woman named Texas Guinan.

She didn’t just own bars… she ran some of the most famous speakeasies in New York City.
We’re talking underground, high-risk, shut-it-down-at-any-moment type of spots.

And while men dominated the industry…
She stood at the door greeting guests with:

“Hello, suckers!”

Savage. Unapologetic. Running the room like a boss.

She dealt with raids, police, and a whole system designed to shut her down…
and STILL built a name that history never forgot.

Now fast forward to today…

Women are still fighting to be taken seriously in this industry.
Still being underestimated.
Still being talked about.

And yet… we’re still here.

Running bars.
Building brands.
Creating spaces.
Providing for our families.
And doing it with grit, hustle, and a whole lot of attitude.

At Branded Phénix, this place was built by a woman who refused to stay small, stay quiet, or stay in her lane.

So this month, we don’t just celebrate women…
We honor the ones who had the guts to go first.

And the ones still out here building something out of nothing 🔥

☘️ Celtic Walk Lineup Update! ☘️

The Joshua Main St Celtic Walk just got even bigger!

We’re excited to welcome Hickory Tree and La Mesa to the lineup, bringing us to 7 amazing local stops for the very first annual event.

Your Celtic Walk stops will be:

🫖 Universe Tea

🐦‍🔥 Branded Phénix

Thanks to the City of Joshua, we’ll be issuing Player Cards for the event. Here’s how it works:

🍀 Pick up a Player Card from any of the businesses
🍀 Visit the participating businesses and get your card stamped
🍀 Collect at least 5 of the 7 stamps
🍀 Turn your completed card in at Branded Phénix

All completed cards will be entered into our St. Patrick’s Day drawing for prizes!

📅 Celtic Walk Weekend:
Friday, March 13 – Sunday, March 15

🎉 Main Event Day:
Saturday, March 14

Each stop will have St. Patrick’s Day specials, fun surprises, and giveaways throughout the weekend.

There’s something really humbling about being a full-time bartender and bar owner, then getting to sit on the other side of the bar at a nice place.

To be able to afford it.
To be taken care of.
To receive the same level of service I pour into my people every single night.

It hits different when you know what goes into it, long nights, sore feet, inventory stress, payroll math, problem solving on the fly, and still showing up with a smile. When someone anticipates your needs, remembers your drink, checks in without hovering… that’s when you realize:

This is the standard.
This is why service matters.
This is why I do what I do.

Being served well reminds me to keep serving well. Full circle. 🍷
