74th Annual Fall Festival Book.

Good afternoon. I understand there have been questions circulating about the Fall Festival. Per our earlier posts, over the past few months, the Festival is scheduled, September 16 17 18. Our theme is Hometown Pride. All events that we have every year will continue, and on the same days as they have for years. Our challenge at this time, and the reason more specific information has not been shared, is due to the pending resolution of Ohio and Tilden streets reopening. We will do our best to work around this issue. We may have to modify the location of some of the events, but our goal is to keep everything in town and in close proximity to each other. Once the re-routing of the parade and other venues are approved, the FF book will be distributed. Thank you to those business's that supported the book with ads this year. Also, a big thank you to the Chairs of the various venues. I know it has been challenging to coordinate your activities with so many unanswered questions. You have all kept your chin up, and displayed impressive professionalism while navigating through this unusual predicament. I do apologize for not posting sooner, as I had waited, hoping to have more specific information to share.

Hello, I would like to share additional Fall Festival information. Currently we do not have a Carnival for this year. We are looking to secure one for 2022. The idea has been suggested to do a Midway in lieu of the carnival. This could be an opportunity for groups to do a money making project. Inflatables are being looked into as well. Also, we do not have a Parade Chairman. The Chamber is considering outsourcing the Cook shack to groups or other interested parties. There are other aspects of the Festival where help is needed. If there is any interest in assisting, please contact a Chamber member.

Hello, I would like to give an update on Fall Festival. At this time the Chamber is planning to proceed with the annual Festival. This will be our 74th year. Last year did not turn out as we had hoped, but we have always looked towards the future, with hope and positivity. The theme will be "Hometown Pride". We do need volunteers to help us make this a great Festival! I know there are awesome people with great ideas out there!

Hello to everyone, I would like to give an update on our modified Fall festival for 2020. We will present "Movie in the Park" on Sat September 19th. Our featured movie will be the 2020 version of Call Of The Wild. The movie will start at 8pm, with food sales starting at 7pm. The cuisine offered is a hot dog, chips, and a drink for 3.00 As always, during this time, we will practice social distancing. A big thank you to Northwood Hills for also providing complimentary popcorn!! We are encouraging a family friendly atmosphere, so no alcoholic beverages please. We will be offering T Shirts for sale as well! Although we will not have a traditional FF book, we are working on a commemorative booklet. If anyone is interested in a one line ad for this, please contact any chamber member. If you have any questions, please feel free to let us know. We all know this is not what we wanted for our Festival this year, but our town will get through these rough times by sticking together, and focusing on the blessings we have, as well as setting our sights for 2021!!

Hello! Hoping this post finds all well. Just a quick update on our FF activities. At this point, we will continue with our Saturday festivities with Movie in the Park. The Chamber will finalize this at our August meeting, and, more in depth and itinerary info will follow. In keeping with our FF tradition, even our modified Festival needs a Grand Marshall! I am pleased and honored to announce that Rhonda Rose Rogers has graciously accepted this post for 2020!

Good evening, I hope this post finds all well. In light of our current environment as related to Covid, I would like to share with you the Humansville Chamber of Commerce decisions regarding our annual Fall Festival. After review of vendor cancelations, carnival cancelation due to Covd, no parade entries to date, and anticipated uptick of the virus this fall, the chamber made the decision to rethink the 73rd Festival for 2020. As many know, we do rely on local business support for many aspects of the Festival. We felt it would not be appropriate to ask the businesses to stretch their dollars after many have been shut down during this pandemic. We are planning an event on Saturday September 19th, which would have been the final day/evening of the Festival. Right now we are looking at hosting a Movie in the Park, which will include extras. More information to follow. Our 2020 music entertainment that we had secured for this year have commited for next year 2021. Our theme for 2021 will be Hometown Pride. We will keep you updated as we navigate these uncertain times. The Chamber appreciates everyone's support. I realize this is a break in our tradition, but these are untraditional times we find ourselves experiencing. We will get through this together, as the strong community we are! Let's all hang in there! Please feel free to contact myself or a chamber member if you have any questions or suggestions.
