When you live in Texas 🥵 & travel to a winter climate ❄️ & not yet in the habit of putting him in his coat... blanket papoose it is!! // Luckily we spent our first morning just wandering around & were never too far from our cute little hotel in Kaysersberg 🇫🇷

May not be the most beautiful background but this is... traveling avec bébé & we wanted to give an accurate perspective of what it’s truly like to travel internationally with an infant 👶🏼🍼 // This was the beginning of our flight, filled with anxiety, nerves, excitement! // He surely had to get his refreshments before we got ours 🍷 to avoid breakdown status // Luckily for all of us, did GREAT on the 10 hour flight to Frankfurt... slept the whole way! // Little did we know about the we had in store for us the next couple nights

We’ve made it about halfway through our trip & let me just say that international travel with a baby ain’t for the faint of 💜 (or anyone looking for a nice, relaxing, decompressing vaca) // But we knew that going in & we know that (just like with all things baby), the learning curve is as steep as the vineyards in the Mosel region of 🇩🇪 // Absolutely wouldn’t trade one minute of it because of the memories (albeit in photographs) we will be able to pass on to & most importantly, getting us allllll used to traveling together. // Can’t wait to get home & put together a blog post for y’all about the good, the bad & the tasty! 🍷

We’re back, BABY!

Well you may have noticed we took a definite hiatus over here at & that’s because we welcomed into this 🌍 in September! // We flew for the first time in November to visit family in Boston for thanksgiving 🦃 & we are THRILLED to report that Baby Oeuf did great! // We found it only fitting to introduce the little traveling man to the community by sharing some of our 📸 from his first trip (of many many more) // Bien sur, we will be headed back to 🇫🇷 in February with 👶🏼 in tow & will absolutely be chronicling the entire journey! // For now - it’s good to be back with our new plus one to make travel even more *exciting*

We are first and foremost a travel and wine expertise brand comprised of a team of travel bloggers, travel experts, wine collectors and wine educators! We happen to love and specialize in the amazingly diverse continent of Europe, and if we are getting even more specific we cannot leave France out of the conversation! Our goal is to share international culture through curated travel, food and wine content via various social mediums. We use our experiences from extensive worldwide travels to bring fellow travelers helpful tips, knowledge and information on French, European and worldwide culture.

We love traveling. We believe you should experience traveling the world and getting away. And we are going to try to make really easy to understand and personalized travel content you can depend on. Through our blog and social content, you will learn our personal recommendations and philosophies on travel, and hopefully be able to use our travel expertise and relationships we’ve built through the years to inspire your next trip so that you can bring to fruition your best getaway yet, from takeoff to landing, and every baguette in between.

Avec un Oeuf the brand happened in one of those lightbulb moments, that was solidified by a happy accident… fate? Les etoiles? One of the things we, Chelsea and Jesse, AuO Co-Founders, connected on when we first met was that we both spoke French and had both lived in French speaking places, building the foundation for our joint love of la vie Francaise. Living in Houston, Texas we did not much get the chance to speak French, so we started taking trips to France each year. Simultaneously we were traveling to the far corners of the world as well. Knocking off World Wonders left and right, learning about other cultures and places we had only ever dreamed of. Eventually friends and family would regularly say to us “Next time I go somewhere I’m coming to you for recommendations - you always seem to go to such cool places!” Lightbulb.

We decided that we needed to start this as a side hobby and do what we enjoy most - sharing international culture through providing stories of our own experiences, tips for traveling, and recommendations for places around the world. The stars had aligned and we knew this was the right decision. And so, Avec un Oeuf the blog came about.
