🍻 TWO YEARS OF THE SHANTY! 🍻

After one CRAZY busy weekend of covering shifts and hanging with so many of our favorite patrons, I finally have a minute to reflect.

On September 6, 2024, Derek and I took a huge, scary leap. We put all our eggs in one basket and poured our hearts into bringing The Shanty Bar & Grill back to the neighborhood bar everyone knew and loved—a place for family, friends, kids, neighbors and even strangers who somehow leave as friends. ❤️

Two years later, The Shanty has become so much more than a bar. We’ve celebrated babies, grandbabies, birthdays and milestones together. We’ve laughed, danced and cried together. We’ve also lost people we loved, and you realize just how special this little community is when someone’s usual seat is suddenly empty on a Friday night. ❤️

It hasn’t always been easy. There have been long days, late nights, family hardships and plenty of moments wondering what the heck we got ourselves into. 😂 But we’ve also gained incredible employees, lifelong friendships and a community that has supported us more than we could have imagined.

Since then, Derek and I have somehow added two more bars to the craziness 😂, but The Shanty will always be where this adventure started.

No big anniversary party this year—just a simple post to say THANK YOU. To our staff, family, friends, patrons and this entire community: YOU helped build what The Shanty is today.

We’ve laughed together. We’ve cried together. We’ve danced together. But most importantly, we’ve done it all together. ❤️
