There have been a few posts, from both local and out of state sources, that are spreading misinformation about The Toasted Barrel.
So let's clear it up:

1. Yes I listed the business and property about 6 weeks ago. The intent was to determine if there is any interest in the market. If there isn't, it will be taken off the market. It isn't because of health reasons or any of the other things people are speculating on.

2. Yes my employees have been kept in the loop about everything happening...even months before the listing. Recently, some customers have brought up the potential sale with several of my employees (during business hours). It makes them uncomfortable, and I have asked, as part of the listing, that buyers be discreet and not approach employees. It has always been a public listing. There is nothing "shady" going on here. My employees are my Family.

3. We are open for business as usual. There is no plan to close after Memorial Day or any other time.

If you sincerely have questions about the sale, I would direct you to my commercial broker, Melissa Hayes. Otherwise, please don't feed into the rumor mill. We need the community support now more than ever. Hope to see you soon.
