Here’s some of the clients messages I’ve gotten that have made me just a lilll bit teary-eyed🥲

Fr tho, some days are harder than others, but things like this give me such an energy boost and remind me why I LOVE the people I get to work with.

✨LET’S TALK FLEXIBILITY✨

And no not the kind that allows you to touch your palms to your toes (although that is something I’m working on)

What does it look like to be flexible? To be adaptable in your business?

For me it looks like being able to tailor each client experience. I’m a very “go with the flow” type of person, so I LOVE that I have a job that allows me to offer certain services and set boundaries while ALSO giving each client an experience that is unique to them and their business needs.

What does flexibility look like for you?

Everything is ever-changing. You have methods and practices you use to run your business effectively, but you’re also constantly adapting to specific client needs.

Keeping up with with current trends and styles - making sure that you’re continually growing so you can provide the best possible service and final product to your clients. That alone is lot to keep up with!

So what happens when you also have to keep up with the ever-changing landscape of social media marketing? Of all these new and progressing platforms?

You may be able to do a back bend, but that doesn’t mean you should have to bend over backwards to keep up with every request the social media gods make (it’s okay, we’ll pretend like that was a good joke)

You shouldn’t have to split your energy between creating your best product and adapting to constantly changing algorithms - but if you do find yourself in that space, it may be time to reach out for a helping hand!

Having a Virtual Assistant on your team will allow you to have that flexibility and adaptability that will ALWAYS be necessary in business - without having to keep up with new trends, algorithms, and platforms all on your own.

I take care of that part, so you can focus on the work you really love ✨

I’ve got another spot open, so shoot me a DM if you’re ready to take that helping hand 🤘

▫️Been thinking a lot about intentionality recently▫️

A lot of people use this as their “word of the year”, and I’ve been trying to think more about the role that intentionality plays in my life.

A lot of us experienced mindset shifts when COVID hit and I definitely think this was one of those shifts for me. Before - well ya know...before last year happened - I made sure every minute of my life was scheduled. I felt “whole” because I was constantly busy. (shocker, the feeling of wholeness was an illusion.)

One of my old bosses asked me when was the last time I had a FULL day to myself and I couldn’t remember.

Fast forward - much of this year has felt like I’ve been free floating with not a lot to grab onto. And I think a part of that is bc I’ve finally allowed there to be room in my life for reflection. For exploring my options. For being intentional.

And the transition has been WEIRD. I’ve been forced to slow down instead of going 100mph.

It’s funny bc I don’t think we’re ever told that having more time to ourselves can be stressful. Bc now all of a sudden we have time to dig deeper and think about what we really want - out of life, work, relationships, our entrepreneurial journey, what have you. It’s not immediately rainbows and butterflies. 🌈🦋

It can be SCARY to have more time. To ask yourself questions.

When I think about my job as a VA - I recognize that that may be a fear not a lot of biz owners want to talk about or even recognize is there.

The fear of having more time. Of the opportunity to be intentional instead of being numb to the busyness.

Ik some people may think this is absurd and that’s okay 😂 “Having more time couldn’t possibly be stressful.”

But I figured if I was feeling this, there must be other people too. And if you’re a biz owner who may be hesitant about outsourcing, about gaining some of your time back - know that you aren’t alone!! And that I want to be a team member that will collaborate with you through that transition.

Having more time to be intentional in life and business can be scary - but it’ll allow for some pretty cool transformations 🤘

(Speech over😂)

Everything is “figureoutable”

I saw this quote scrolling through Pinterest the other day and it seems silly, but it’s true 🤷🏻‍♀️

Lately I’ve been trying to slow down and look at each new situation or roadblock in my biz from a new perspective. It’s not always as scary as I make it out to be in my head.

It’s been a process of learning how to trust myself - knowing that I’m capable enough to find solutions to the issues that inevitably pop up - big or small, business related or not.

And if I’m stuck - remembering that I have an awesome community around me to help me work through the tough stuff 🤍

Do you feel like you have to be going the same pace as everyone else?

We consume soooo much content in this social media world - and so INEVITABLY we compare our journeys to everyone else’s.

But hey! All you need to do is find out what pace works best for youuuu.

This could be in regards to how often you can post on social media, how many clients you feel like you can take on at a time, how many tasks you can realistically get done in a day.

Just because the people you look up to are taking on a million projects in a month AND are posting content 5 days per week - does not mean that you have to scramble to keep up.

Find your own flowwww. If you’ve started this entrepreneurial journey and have realized that you need to slow it down and find more sustainable systems for yourself, then do it.

You’re not failing. You’re finding what works best for you and your life. And if you feel like you need an extra hand so that you’re able to find that flow - head over to my DMs. I would love to help you out.

Hey friends - feeling stuck?

When your creative flow is an essential aspect of your business, it can be easy to run into creative blocks - you know… when you end up feeling like Spongebob trying to write his essay?

Sometimes you write one idea down and that’s all you can muster. And when that happens, it’s okay! Constant creative flow simply isn’t sustainable. It’s about balance - riding the wave when you’re on a roll and learning to rest when your mind needs a break.

But here are a few things that help me when I run into those creative blocks:

▫️I give myself a certain amount of time (could be 15 minutes, could be an hour - whatever works) to write down three ideas.

And I tell myself that they don’t have to be good ideas! Often times - it’s enough just to write things down, no matter how bad, to get the creative juices flowing.

▫️I reference back to my Pinterest inspo boards. It’s been really helpful for me to have Pinterest boards that I’m constantly adding inspiration to. That way I always have something to go to when I feel like I’m running out of ideas.

▫️I step away for a while - I know this one can feel tough. But when I force myself to step away for a while and either rest or consume some other form or media I enjoy (whether that’s reading, watching a film, listening to a playlist, etc) I find that at least one idea will come to me naturally during that time.

What is one thing you do when you run into creative blocks?

Hey friends! Is time something you feel like you don’t have control over?

Time management is essential for everyone, but especially for business owners because the line between your work and the rest of your life tends to get blurred all too often.

And because each person and each business functions differently - the way you manage your time is going to look different as well. Take TIME (wink wink) to figure out what works best for you! What works well for someone else may not fly in your business.

Explore things like:

Time blocking: give yourself certain time-frames for completing tasks, and either write it down or keep track in your calendar.

Project Management tools: Trello, Notion, and Asana are all great options for keeping tasks lists, notes, collaborating with team members etc. Personally, I tend to use Notion for keeping track of my personal tasks/notes and Trello for working with clients. Try them out and see which one you vibe with!

Keeping a physical planner: Sometimes it’s better to just write it downnnn. If an online PM tool isn’t your vibe, try out different planners and write down your goals at the beginning of each day. Sometimes I’ll do this in addition to using Notion so that my brain has something else to look at for reminders when it gets distracted.

If you’ve got one of these methods down pat, but still find your time melting away - outsourcing is something you may want to consider!

Ya girl is here and ready to help you gain back control over your schedule.

Shoot me a DM if you’re ready to reclaim your time👊

REAP WHAT YOU SOW🌻🌱💐

We only get out of something what we put into it.

For me - I knew I wanted my business to grow so that I can help other business owners, get out of student debt (anybody with me on that one?🥴), and be stable enough to eventually move out of state.

Those are some big goals! So I knew I needed to invest and plant the “right seeds” if you will in order to get there.

And those investments can look big or small! For me it looks like:

▫️Investing in my Adobe subscription

▫️Joining DCA (thank youuuu )

▫️Working on my website and branding (thanks to )

▫️And investing time to engage and connect with my community and with other creatives

What do those “seeds” look like for you? It could be a big step such as:

▫️Outsourcing so you can scale

▫️Or hiring a coach

It could also be small seeds like:

▫️Making sure to set aside quiet time every day to protect your energy

▫️Doing photoshoots just for yourself to keep your creative muscles moving

▫️Or making a connection with someone in your industry that you can keep accountability with

The investments and “seeds” that you plant will look different for everyone! But taking those small, consistent steps toward your goals is so important.

What’s a “seed” that you’ve planted recently?

AN ENGAGED AUDIENCE > A LARGE AUDIENCE

We tend to get lost in the vanity metrics of likes and followers, but those things don’t matter as much as how much your community is interacting with you.

You’ve got to build up your ENGAGEMENT, in order to attract the people you ideally want to work with. So how do you do that?

Utilizing stories is an excellent starting point. Being active on your stories will:

▫️Increase engagement and reach - There are so many opportunities to not only reach new accounts but to interact with your current following that feed posts simply don’t offer. Before posting, think of creative ways to use the stickers, polls, and question boxes! Little interactions go a long way.

▫️Help you maintain visibility - Do you spend more time tapping through stories or scrolling your feed? For most people it’s stories! And the more active you are, the more you will be TOP OF MIND. This is perfect for putting more of your work in front of your audience that you may not be posting on your feed.

▫️Let potential clients get to know you - People want to laugh with you and interact with the person behind the screen. And if they’re looking for someone to capture a special moment in their life - they are going to want to know that they can be comfortable with you! Letting people get to know you through your stories lets them know that they can be themselves around you if they hire you!

Shoot me a DM if this is something you struggle with! I’ll help you come up with ideas so you can continue naturally drawing ideal clients towards you. 🤩

Save this one as a reminder to yourself.

I wanted to talk about this because I know I need the reminder.

SUCCESS IS FOR YOU. And it’s okay to claim it. It is alllll too easy to fall into the mental trap of believing that somehow you are the exception. That somehow success is possible for the people you see on your Instagram feed - but not for you.

That could not be further from the truth.

And I’m not even talking about the version of success that gets shoved down our throats all the time. What does success look like for YOU? Does it look like:

▫️Making enough money from your business to live comfortably?

▪️Having control of your schedule so that you can spend time on yourself and your loved ones?

▫️Making art that you’re proud of and working with amazing people?

Success does not have to be 6 figures or 10k followers. Can you claim that and attain it? YES - if that is for you, then go after it, work for it, and have faith that it will come to pass.

But I’d encourage you to take a few minutes to decipher what success looks like for you, and what is holding you back from either a) going after it or b) believing that it’s possible for you. And then do something this week that HYPES YOU UP! Edit yourself to make it look like you’re on an album cover😂, make a fire playlist, or spend a day creating just to create.

You are not the exception, friendsss. YOU are capable. YOU are a badass business owner. YOU are a rockstar human. 🤘

What’s a mental block you struggle with when it comes to claiming your success? Let me know in the comments👇

Who here feels like everything about their business needs to be perfect? Everyone? Yeah me too.

I honestly procrastinated way too long when I was working on launching my business. I felt like everything needed to be juuusssttt right in order for me to jump into the game with a bold presence. My color palette, my content style, etc all needed to be pristine.

And don't get me wrong! Having a plan is essential. It's going to set you up for longterm success. But there's a difference between having a solid plan and using that as an excuse to not get started.

It's okay to show up imperfectly. Because your business is destined to grow and change, just as you are destined to grow and change. And I mean - are you kidding? It's an accomplishment that you've even started your own business or freelancing endeavor! Certainly not everyone can say that.

However, I think creatives especially tend to fall into the trap of perfectionism. That's normal! There's a tonnn of content out there and you want to make sure that you're standing out. But it's good to remember that you can show up imperfectly and still create a bold presence for yourself and your business. We're all growing and learning.

You don't need to have "all your ducks in a row". So creatives - can you relate to this?

Comment below how you're combating the pressure of perfectionism!
