in 2013, with the goal of breeding, raising and promoting top quality Western Pleasure prospects in open and non-pro APHA, NSBA and AQHA competition. Prodigy Pleasure Prospects (PPP) operates in Northern Texas, under the guidance of Anthony Leier of Leier Performance Horses and is owned by Brandon Severin. PPP was established in 2013, to breed, raise and promote top quality Western Pleasure, Hunte
r Under Saddle and All-Around prospects. In early 2018, a shift in horsepower allowed PPP to refocus and start developing a foundation in Western Pleasure horses only. Believing that a successful breeding program, with longevity, focuses heavily on mare power, it was key to carefully select a group of broodmares with style, foundation and proven bloodlines. PPP mares uphold a strong reputation of complimenting modern stallions, by producing foals that are built form to function, are in line with market trends and have that little bit of “extra” that everyone wants. In 2014, the PPP matriarch became 2x Reserve World Champion AQHA/APHA mare “My Original Copy,” who was lovingly known as Bertha (deceased in 2016). Her foals earned multiple Honor Roll titles and top honors at major shows around the country. PPP is exceptionally proud of the current group of broodmares:
Jolene - “Satisfying Sensation,” daughter of NSBA and APHA Hall of Fame sire Zippos Sensation and out of Chilita Par Bar is a 2013 APHA Bay Overo mare with a show record in Western Pleasure and Trail. Loretta - “Invest In Platinum,” granddaughter of leading sires Don’t Skip Zip and Paint Me Zippo, is a 2006 APHA Palomino Overo mare with a show record in Open and Amateur Western All-Around events. Dolly – “Not Enuff Sleep,” daughter of legendary sire Too Sleepy To Zip and out of Hotrod Daisy (Hocus Pocus Hotrod and Good Version), is a 2009 AQHA Sorrel mare who was unshown due to injury. Each year, a selection of yearling prospects are chosen to compete in APHA, NSBA and AQHA Open and Non Pro Longe Line at major events. Prodigy Pleasure Prospects operates as a small business with a narrow focus and is extremely proud of the quality of horses that are produced as a result of their dedication and hard work.
