When your bestie rescues a Mccaw and the cage needs a special cover what else would I do but whip her up one. I love all the random projects I have the privilege to work on for people.

It's been a busy weekend in the shop ... not the usual projects I have going on but one I've been wanting to do for some time. Finally replaced the folding tables with a nice wooden work table and the best part was moving the piano out of there and getting my sewing machine in the shop area. Now I wont be runing back and forth to the corner where my machine was. It took a village but its all put back together and I can't wait to get in there and start back to my normal projects this week.

To some it looks like chaos .... OK yes it is chaos. But its a chaos only I understand.

I love when I can collaborate with another amazing small business.

We got the cutest new custom curtains made by our friend Cindy C**n Brooks. We also carry her embroidered tea towels in the farmstand. Come check them out from 10am-7pm while you are out and about.

A couple more bridesmaid dresses that needed hemming and some alterations to the bodices.

A few projects completed over the weekend. Hemmed some pants and shirts as well as added a patch to the jacket. It was nice to have some "easier" projects after all the weddings I've had on my table lately.

Another beautiful gown I had the honor of altering so the bride felt beautiful on her most special day. After purchasing her gown she lost over 50 lbs and needed some nipping and tucking done so it fit her correctly. Took in the bodice and hemmed it up for her.
Not gonna lie I have worked with some of the most amazing brides this year and always feel honored when they trust me with their most special dress of their life.

It's been a crazy fall wedding season in the shop. Bridesmaid needed a bit more room in her dress due to a growing baby bump and the bride needed to be able to bustle her train after the ceremony.

Sometimes ya gotta get creative with last minute alterations. This bridesmaid needed a little more room in her bodice and it was a last minute job so unable to order exactly what we needed. Luckily I had a left over corset part that would work so I made quick work of removing the zipper and adding the corset along with hemming it and using the excess cut off from the hem to create the corset privacy panel.
Love it when it all works out.

This was such a fun makeover to do for an amazing bride. The dress was worn by her grandma on her wedding day and now it is being worn again with a makeover. I removed the sheer part of the bodice revealing beautiful lace and making it strapless. Then switched out the zipper for a corset back. I absolutely love being trusted with projects like this and creating something new out of the old.
