The Short Farm We are a small sawmill operation and family farm located in Georgetown, DE. We are a small sawmill and family farm located in Georgetown, De.

We grow trees and run a small circular sawmill operation, founded in 1949, for custom orders; we also use our own lumber to fill orders. Our lumber is used to make flooring, paneling, bar tops, ceilings, mantle pieces, wainscoting and furniture. We use quality wood and every piece is unique. We also have a dry kiln onsite to ensure our lumber is bug-free. We also sell delicious farm-fresh eggs from our small flock of pasture-raised chickens.
