Our good friends Shadowhouse and Prelude to a pistol our coming to Everett next weekend. We sure hope you can make it. We’re going to be there so come say hi!

Happy World goth day! Remember gate keeping is the opposite of what the creators of goth wanted. Those who created wanted a safe space where abnormalities were celebrated not mocked. A place where puritanical practices like gate keeping were discouraged and inclusive and welcoming spaces took in those who felt like they didn’t fit in anywhere. A place where a person could go and feel ok being themselves without persecution. Where respect for those in the group meant growth and freedom. A place of sanctuary. Many of our historic icons were condemned for their thoughtfulness and their intellect. To gate keep brings memories of the Salem witch trials and Hi**er. We need not welcome such negative energy into our communities. When we practice inclusion we create more safe spaces for free thought and we all remember how we felt when we first found our home in the community. The love and warmth of people who truly think with their hearts and souls. So let’s lead with our hearts and minds while of course creating a safe space for all of us to enjoy. Lots of love and support to all of you.

As many of you may have heard our new home Lucky Dime was broken into earlier this week. Sadly this means our good friend Alex who is also the owner took a rather large financial hit. If you can drop in and support or just come to one of the many events there it will help immensely. We are a community and a family so let's show so love and support in any way we can. Even if it's just a re-post to get people to show up or donate in person it's all appreciated.
Sunday night, we’ll welcome DJ Trishy well-known for being one of the main DJs in Everett and considered a hometown legend. Our night is all about inclusivity, Some people wear black, while others wear whatever makes them happiest. We encourage you to do the same! We want you to come and enjoy our night, knowing it’s a safe space where we can celebrate our culture and connect, kind of like our own version of the show Letterkenny. We hope you’ll find yourself in a love affair with our event because you all are amazing and the love in the room is real. If you don't fit in anywhere we have an idea how you feel. Many of us felt this or still do but you fit here. Just like the Vogue rock cross-over people welcome too. Just in case you were wondering. Let's do as the Vogue did before us and create some real diverse inclusive community and enjoy our time together. We will see you on Sunday at 7pm at Tears In Vogue: It's the end of the year as we know it with DJ BPA, DJ Trishy with Tenebrae Cabaret

Good evening, everyone. As we approach the Halloween season, we recognize that many of you are preparing to celebrate, and we sincerely hope you enjoy this time. However, we would also like to invite you to join us on the third for another delightful celebration during this time of year. This month, Tears in Vogue presents the Halloween Hangover. We encourage you to wear a costume or any attire you feel comfortable in; remember, nothing is too little, and nothing is too extravagant.

We understand that this season can bring both joy and stress, particularly when one feels that they lack the perfect costume or appropriate attire for the occasion. For this reason, we simply wish for you to show up, regardless of whether you are ready with a costume or if you would like to showcase that costume one last time before the end of the year. Life is a journey, and it can become stressful when one aspires for everything to be perfect, only for it not to unfold that way. I have experienced times during this season when I found myself financially strained due to the conclusion of a job or unexpected expenses. Consequently, my costumes often see a great deal of use, and we do not want you to feel that same pressure. Our desire is for you to come, enjoy yourself, and feel free to express your true self, whatever that may be—whether it’s a cherished costume or your favorite black attire, or simply your everyday clothing as you enjoy the music. We wholeheartedly celebrate your presence.

We understand that life can indeed be challenging, and we genuinely want you to come and have a wonderful time, to relax, and to feel welcomed and accepted. Tears in Vogue is a place of acceptance, and we sincerely mean that. Many of us have all experienced the feeling of not being chosen for the team and or have endured our share of bullying. This is a safe space where you can be yourself, free from judgment and gatekeeping. Your safety and happiness are our utmost priorities.

We are dedicated to creating an inclusive environment with a diverse staff, all committed to making you feel at home. We strive to make you feel like a valued member of our community, embraced with open arms. We look forward to seeing you on November 3rd. We will feature another fantastic DJ, This time Dj Daemon Chadeau joins Dj BPA , alongside the magnificent Tenebrae Cabaret, directed by Just Kit’n. Doors open at seven, and we assure you we will not keep you too late; however, you may find that you sleep better after an evening filled with great music, dancing, and exceptional drag and burlesque, all within the vibrant atmosphere of Lucky Dime.

We look forward to seeing you at our first Tears in Vogue on October 6th. We will continue in the spirit of Darkside but in a new venue that we know quite well, that being Lucky Dime. We are thrilled to keep things going under a new name, with Just Kit’n continuing to provide the best drag and burlesque from the Darkside cabaret. We will still be as inclusive and welcoming as we always have been. We want you to know you're welcome, and we can’t wait to see you. We will still, and always will be, an LGBTQIA and BIPOC inclusive space hosted in a very safe environment. The staff is great, and they are so excited to welcome you. Our first guest DJ is Oliver D Place, who is no stranger to the North Sound/Salish Sea goth community. We are so happy to have him back up here. Our resident will be DJ BPA, trained by the amazing Paul Alienikoff of the Vogue and the incredible On the Edge show that was on until quite recently. They also DJ’d at the Mercury. They come with a wealth of musical knowledge and years of experience, so they will keep it fresh and enjoyable. We will start at 7 PM and end at 11 PM, so we won’t keep you too late. At the same time, we want to make it memorable for all the right reasons.
