Arizona wine country lost a true champion last week with the passing of Greg Watson. Greg believed in Arizona wine before it was fashionable to do so, and he spent countless hours proving that belief right — hosting dinners, organizing events, and introducing anyone who would listen to the wines coming out of our corner of the state. He was one of Callaghan Vineyards’ most devoted supporters, always ready with a story, a pour, and genuine enthusiasm for what our region could become. Greg didn’t just love Arizona wine; he helped build the community around it. We will miss his warmth, his passion, and his tireless advocacy more than words can say. To Joyce: our hearts are with you. Greg’s love for this place, and for the people in it, will stay with all of us.
