Heads-up on our schedule for the week coming. Along with an answer to several questions of why aren't we doing barbecue for founders day . According to what the cities employees at city hall had informed us , this year will be done different. In their explanation (There will be only one of each type of food category) Dramps Back Porch BBQ chose to go with an alternative category for which we've had great success at festivals with these items. After several questions as to whether we're going to bring the BPTs , the answer is yes .Since we've increased our frying capabilities by three times before, we've also implemented a few crowd favorites this festival season. Bloomin onions and Ribbon Fries will be avaliable this year along with the Breaded Pork Tenderloin sandwiches. There's more in the works for a few other goodies also to be added . Once again the City has decided that this is what the citizens want by having only one of each type of food such as one trailer doing burgers . One doing Mexican food .One doing ice cream or one doing a unique food items. With cooler weather ahead we have several food options we're bringing to the menu . As a person who's done barbecue for years , I myself get tired of barbecue being the only choice. We're planning on having a variety of plate lunches this year .Also not only will Pops have his Apple and Cherry Dumplings, but also homemade fried pies in several flavors are going to be added . We'd like to again Thank the Cadiz Hamfest committee for preparing an upcoming fantastic festival and we look forward to coming back October 9th and 10th . By then it should be more like festival weather!
