The Backs of our Hands

The Backs of our Hands A bunch of MI lovers looking to share stories of us soaking up Michigan beauty in our bus-turned-RV, with our sweet boys (Emerson and Rocket)!

Born out of a passion project blog about wanting to travel around Michigan, The Backs of our Hands, Backs, was created to open that scope up to share our stories, videos, pictures, and projects with others AND create a space to hear from others. We personally try to spend any time we're not stuck in our office chair traveling around Michigan to take in as much of it as possible... hopefully we can inspire you to do the same!

We're just an ever-growing group of Michigan loving, local beer drinking, experience junkies with a camera and a keyboard. We're constantly looking for new ways to experience MI, by which we mean anything from backpacking Nordhouse to checking out a new brewery or local artist...

Be sure to follow and be on the look out for new video adventures, travel stories, and brewery review/recommendations!

Our Story

Born out of a passion for exploring Michigan, The Backs of our Hands started as an idea we had to visit/review every county in Michigan... The time and commitment for this became simply too much as our lives changed and Backs of our Hands became a dead link to a website and our page. BUT toward the end of 2018 we decided we still wanted a simple space to share our stories, videos, pictures, and projects with others, especially as our family grew by 2: Our sweet baby boy and the old bus we bought to polish the sucker up into a tiny RV!

So now, we still try to spend any time we're not stuck in our office chair traveling around Michigan to take in as much of it as possible, but we do it with a baby in a home-grown RV.
