🇺🇸 A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out to the Memorial Day event at the Delano Legion yesterday as we honored and remembered the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

This special event would not have been possible without the help of Tina Westerlund Monette, Bonnie Brandenburg, the Delano Royalty Ambassadors, and all of the wonderful volunteers who gave their time and support throughout the day.

The Auxiliary truly appreciates all of your hard work, dedication, and generosity in helping make this event such a meaningful and successful day for our community.

Thank you again for your support and for helping us honor our fallen heroes. ❤️🤍💙

🇺🇸Please join us this Memorial Day as we Remember & Honor all Fallen Service Members.
The Delano American Legion Honor Guard along with
Delano H.S Marching Band, Local Boy Scout Members & Civil Air Patrol will join in on the Parade to start at the Delano Legion Parking lot @ 10:30am proceeding to Central Park in Delano.
There will be a program at the park featuring Guest Speaker
Retired Command Sergeant Major Judson Meyer.
Following the program at park, all are invited to the Delano Legion for a luncheon @ 12p, sponsored by The Delano Legion Family! 🇺🇸

Every March 29, we honor and recognize the 3 million servicemembers who were deployed and served in the Vietnam War. 🇺🇸 March 29 was chosen to remember the last U.S. combat troops who departed from Vietnam on March 29, 1973. On and around the same day, Hanoi released the last of their acknowledged prisoners of war. The end of the war is recognized to be the Fall of Saigon, which happened April 30, 1975, with civilians and U.S. personnel evacuating. There are more than 58,000 deaths documented and inscribed on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. ❤️

To all Vietnam veterans, your service mattered, and it will never be forgotten. We are forever thankful for your courage and the sacrifices you made for our freedom. Today and every day, we honor you.

Happy 107th Birthday to The American Legion! 🇺🇸 Since 1919, The American Legion has carried out a clear and lasting mission: supporting those who have served, strengthening the nation, and defending the values that shape American democracy.

The American Legion is more than an organization; it is a Family rooted in service, a legacy carried forward from generation to generation, and a promise that the sacrifices of those who served will never be forgotten.

Today we honor the generations of veterans who built this organization, the members who carry its mission forward, and the emerging leaders who will guide its future. 💫
