HARVEST UPDATE: 🍇🍇
The 3 winemaker’s who are purchasing our grapes will bring their own crews to harvest the grapes and take them to their facilities! So, we will not have a big Harvest event this year. We will miss all of our wonderful volunteers 👩‍🌾🧑‍🌾but there will be opportunities to volunteer in the future!!!🍇🍇

Come take a walk with me through the vineyard! 🍇

Veraison is underway, and it’s one of my favorite times of the growing season. The grapes are beginning to change color, and after months of pruning, training, rain, and careful vineyard management, we’re finally getting a glimpse of this year’s harvest.

In this reel, I’ll share:

🍇 An opportunity for wineries and winemakers to purchase Oklahoma-grown Tempranillo grapes.

This year’s fruit is looking promising, and we expect to have 3–5 tons of premium Tempranillo available at harvest. If you’re looking for quality Oklahoma-grown wine grapes, I’d love to visit with you.

Abide.

In the vineyard, there are seasons that look quiet… even cut back. Dormancy feels like the desert and pruning feels like loss. Vines are stripped down to what looks like less.

🍃But this is where the real work happens

We’ve learned out here at Mitchell Vines that growth doesn’t begin in the flourishing — it begins in the abiding. In the stillness. In the trust. In the moments when everything feels like it’s being taken away, yet something greater is being prepared beneath the surface.

Every cut has purpose.
Every season has intention.
Every vine must abide before it can produce.

And when the time is right…
what looked like barrenness gives way to new buds, stronger fruit, and a harvest that couldn’t have come any other way.

So if you’re in a season of pruning — don’t rush it. If you’re in a season of waiting — don’t fight it.

Abide, because growth is coming. 🌱🍇
