SOHO IN THE PARK : 6/8 : TP Hill was EPIC!
Yes it was hot, but there was plenty of shade to be had, and the misting fans and the big fan made it super tolerable under the pavillion's large canopy.
The music was on point from the very first tracks that Theron played. Set the tone and pace for the rest of the day. Proper.
Philip Evans played a set of Jazzy House that tickled in a Coletrane riff, and had a whole lotta funky in it.
Ricky J Synthson played an AMAZING set. Loved the drums thatbhe presented. A few tracks even felt Brazillian influenced.
Stephanie Stetra Tran AGAIN! Man, I tell ya what. Steph killllllls it. Her vibe is just... EVERYTHING. I'll echo my words on the event page, classy music, classy person. Thanks for doing what you do.
Jennifer W. Kelley (Littlz) undertood the assingment, and that's why she is one of my absolute faves in Dallas. Sorry, didn't mean to hurt ya🌬🌬 pre set. Hahaha. ♥️
Casie Farrell stepped out of her comfort zone for the perfect set up for Mark, and I think she liked it ;) Being known for a much more aggressive Techno sound, she spent time pulling tracks to fit our vibe, and dropped a stellar set.
The storm clouds loomed on more than a couple occassions, but our collective karmic energies kept dissipating them. By the time Mark got on, the weather ended up being super nice. The sunset was gorgeous. Mark ushered in the settung sun with a set of music so perfect, that even Mother Nature refused to interrupt it. He took us into dusk with a journey into Mushroom Jazz. Ending his set (and the event) with a dubbed out version of Kool & The Gang's "Summer Madness" and all was right un the world.
I love you all!
See you in the Fall 🍁🍂
