beloved friends, show-goers, musicians, etc.,

i’m afraid we have some tragic news.
due to the accumulation of noise complaints as a result of our shows, we will not be booking/hosting for the foreseeable future. our current tenants run the risk of getting fined or evicted if we continue. any shows we had lined up for this summer will be relocated or cancelled (our April 21st show will be relocated, no worries there).

thank you for attending our shows and giving us the opportunity to create a much loved space. hopefully, somewhere down the line Mad Ox will be able to continue to provide that space for you.

for now, feel free to use us as a resource for the CP/DC diy community!

hello friends of The Mad Ox,

We’re so excited that so many bands from all over the country are reaching out inquiring about playing at our quaint little venue!

We listen to all demos sent to us + are currently trying to coordinate some summer shows.

We are also trying to limit how many bands with solely cis white dudes we book because we are a q***r run venue and would like our shows to reflect that!

Thanks again to everyone who has messaged us, played with us, and/or attends our shows.

See y’all on March 2nd (next Friday!) for a highly anticipated show.
