COYOTE 365 CHALLENGE
Being in the Philippines during this holiday season has been a blessing in disguise. By U.S standards I am Lower to mid Middle Class(according to my income). I often finding myself wishing for more so I can afford to do more of what I love(racing). Don't get me wrong, I am very grateful for what I do have, but I always still want more.(You know how us racers are!) After spending Thanksgiving and part of December here in the Philippines, Seeing how hard the people work here just to feed their families, not to drown themselves in material things. (Upper middle class to upper class here are those that can afford a home, something as Americans we take for granted.) Most of the population lives in shanties, shacks, hubbles...and appreciate what little they have. During my time here I have done some sole searching and reflecting on my life. I know I am a giving person and will step up to help anyone in need. But I asked myself... Is there more that I can do to make a difference??? With that in mind here is what I am going to do and I ask for every ones help with this. This is my "COYOTE 365 CHALLENGE" for the holidays and beyond.
With the holidays upon us, every one seems to give a little more, show a little more compassion and donate to charities more this time of year but Thanksgiving and Christmas are 2 of 365 days. Lets show compassion 365 days. Every Christmas we all receive gift cards, they go into our wallet's, purse's... months later we clean out our wallet's, purse's and boom there they are, so we go to wherever the cards are for and enjoy them but if we didn't stumble back across them would they really make a big difference in our lives? Probably not, but to a person that is truly in need they could be life changing or at least provide a warm meal, pair of shoes, jacket, ect. With that in mind I ask ALL of my friends that receive gift cards this holiday season, if they aren't a card you really need, PLEASE donate them to the Coyote 365 Challenge. I will personally make sure they are all handed out to those in true need of them. Or if you wish to do it on your own, save the cards yourselves, then sometime through the year when you see someone that is truly in need, give it to them, see how that makes you feel, I guarantee the feeling will surpass the feeling if you just used the card yourself. You can also just buy a gift card and donate it if you would like to, it would be appreciated.Mail them to Billy Strehle c/o "Coyote 365 Challenge" 2308 Keystone Rd. Parma, Ohio 44134.
Everyone please share this post as much as possible, lets keep this going well through the holiday season and on into 2016. It only takes small steps to make big differences sometimes. Thank you in advance. Billy S.
