On the date of Thursday January 29th 2026, Cibolo Fire Department, along with surrounding areas, responded to a reported structure fire. Noted by the reporting party and Schertz Dispatch, a victim was possibly trapped inside of the structure. Upon arrival, Cibolo Battalion 1 found a 2 story structure with smoke showing from the alpha side of the structure. By Cibolo Battalions direction, E10 personnel was assigned fire attack and stretched an 1”3/4 line to the front door of the structure to begin extinguishment. Today marks 25 years since the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center. As we look back on this tragedy, we can’t help but commend the bravery and sacrifice of all of the men and women that put their lives on the line for the help of others on this horrific day. 343 firefighters, 37 Port Authority Police Officers, 23 New York Police Officers, 8 Private EMS personnel, 1 New York State Fire Marshal and many others lost their lives that day. We will never forget the tragedy of this incident and will continue to recognize the courage these personnel displayed.
