Whether you’re brand new to improv or just itching to get more stage time in a fun, welcoming space — this jam is for YOU! Come stretch your imagination, learn new skills, and most importantly, laugh your face off with a bunch of creative humans.

Your host, Nelson Velazquez — improv veteran and proud faculty member of The Second City Training Center — will lead you through games, scenes, and plenty of joyful chaos.

💡 All experience levels are welcome!
If you’re new, join us for a quick 60-minute drop-in class before the jam to get the basics down. Seasoned improvisers, feel free to jump straight into the jam or join both.

This is a pay-what-you-want event — come play, connect, and create some unforgettable laughs!

Fun time had by all last night at the Improv Mania: Funny Final 4 show last night at ! It was a head-to-head competition where played valiantly against the home court favorites Improv to win the audience's favor. The score ended up in a tie but laughs we're had all around!

The brackets are set, the seeds are locked, and the madness is officially hitting the stage. We’re back at Grindhouse Cafe with Northwest Indiana's finest improv, and this year, we’ve got a heavy-hitter entering the tournament: The Purdue Northwest Theater Company is joining us as our opening act!

This isn't your standard halftime show. We’re talking fast-paced, "Whose Line Is It Anyway?"-style improv where the shot clock is always running and the points are totally made up. There’s no playbook and zero scripts—just spontaneous scenes and characters driven by your courtside suggestions.

Will we hit a buzzer-beater or commit a flagrant foul? You be the judge.

The Matchup: Improductions Improv vs. The PNW Theatre Company

The Venue: Grindhouse Café

The Stakes: High-energy comedy mayhem with no timeouts.
