News Release!!

We are pleased to announce the entrance of a new winemaker to the Michigan wine market. Called "one of the region’s most talented winemakers" by the Santa Maria Sun and "a shining example" of "boundary-pushing wine" by Wine Enthusiast's Matt Kettmann, Ernst Storm of Storm Wines has been receiving bountiful accolades. His exquisite wines can be found in top restaurants and wine bars but he doesn't have a tasting room. This is your chance to try his wines!

South African transplant to California's Central Coast, Ernst Storm handcrafts small amounts of Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir in a style that combines old world sensibilities with new world technique. We were really impressed when we tasted recent releases and believe this talented young winemaker's star is only just beginning to rise. Ernst has been a winemaker in the Santa Barbara area since 2007, but this is the first time he has been distributed to the Michigan market.

We invite you to join in welcoming Ernst Storm and tasting his Santa Barbara wines on Wednesday, June 20 from 7 to 9PM at the Wines on Main wine bar in Chelsea, Michigan. Please RSVP by calling Pam at: (734)562-2264

Wines on Main - Chelsea is located just 15 miles west of Ann Arbor at 110 N Main St, Chelsea, MI 48118.

Hope that you can join us as we continue our popular series of wine classes with guest wine expert, Lee Hershey, Tuesday night, April 18 at 7PM. No RSVP required, but if you bring a group, call Brandon, Sharon or Brian to hold a table.

Tonight, we are welcoming Scott Young, owner-winemaker of the Napa property: Young Inglewood Vineyards.

An aerialist on a tight wire: That’s the logo for Young Inglewood Vineyards. And the vineyard’s motto? “Balance is our guiding principle.” Young Inglewood Vineyards was founded by Jacky and Jim Young. They were retiring from their long careers running the software company, Sirsi Corporation. Hearing about a property on Inglewood Avenue in St. Helena, they purchased a small farmhouse and 18 acres of classic Bordeaux varietals.

Young Inglewood consists of mother and son winemakers Jacky and Scott Young. It is situated on the coveted benchland nestled up against the Mayacamas in the Southwestern reaches of the St Helena appellation. They transitioned the vineyard to a mix of organic and sustainable farming to enhance vine health and balance. They produced their first wine - a 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon - in a converted barn with an old hand-cranked press. Their total annual production is still small – only about 600 cases.

Enjoy:
- 6 ultra-premium, low-production wines
- state of the art Riedel wine glasses afford generous pours
- cheese and cracker sampler plates (and plenty of Goldfish !)
- $20 per person
- 15% off any purchases
