Hello All!

I'm not sure the best way to get in touch with everyone so I'm going to do an email, FB post, and also a Meetup "event" that is giving this information out.

Meetup has made the decision to double their fees for the most basic level of organizer access. It is no longer feasible for me to pay for this, particularly since there is so little engagement and attendance coming from Meetup since COVID happened. Previously, about 50% of event attendees were coming from Meetup; however since we started back up in 2022, maybe 15 unique people have even RSVP'ed for events (and only 5-6 have shown up total from that group).

Because of this, Meetup for Charlotte Beer Babes will cease in February 2025. I have a trademark on the "Beer Babes" name which will stop anyone from taking the group name over. However I know many of my Meetup users are on Facebook, and some on FB don't like using it for Events - so I'm looking at Alternative Event/Group options.

Please fill out this poll with what you would like to see used in lieu of Meetup in 2025 (in addition to Facebook). I'm also hoping to have my website updated so we can use that as well!

Hey Friends!

If anyone is interested in signing up to bring desserts or snacks (aka yums) for 15 people to either Wooden Robot Brewery or The Chamber by Wooden Robot between 5-6pm over the next 3 weeks, here is the info! We need help to supply some yums for the volunteers who are filling in (*for free, as tips are going to help the WRB family*) for the WRB/CbWR staff as they grieve and process the loss of WRB's co-owner & head brewer Dan Wade...

Ways to support and contribute with this effort:
- You can sign up to make/buy and deliver yums for 1 or more shifts at https://mealtrain.com/y83wz1 (each shift is one location of 15 people).
- You can sign up for your business donating & delivering yums (please email me at [email protected] if you're donating for a business).
- You can sign up and have a delivery of yums sent to the location of the shift you choose.
- You can send me a Venmo to -Burr (or msg me for another way) of any amount to contribute towards a day's yums (I'll take any open shifts and fill in with these contributions).
- You can sign up and order some yums, and work with me to get it delivered (for places who aren't on DD/UEats/etc.).

Hey Beer Babes & friends!

I've got a for

Pilot Brewing & Resident Culture Brewing Company are spearheading an effort to get volunteer staff to work at Wooden Robot Brewery & The Chamber by Wooden Robot to allow the staff to heal and grieve as they process the loss of co-founder & head brewer, Dan Wade, tragically in a work accident this past Tuesday.

As part of that, we're asking the to help supply food. Rachael has a good handle on volunteers and donors for dinners, but asked me if I could help organize getting baked goods or snacks to the volunteer staffs over the next few weeks. So of course!

I would love for people to sign up for a day + location, to provide a baked good, or a sweet or savory snack for 15 people for the day at each location. You can even collaborate with a friend, do gift cards that I'll organize, or have something delivered directly to the location! Any little bit helps! Reach out if you can't deliver, and we can try to coordinate! *Deliveries would be between 5-6pm to each location.*
