✨ We began our next journey with an incredible morning spent with the world-renowned authority on the wines, châteaux, and terroir of Bordeaux, Jane Anson. As a wine critic and journalist, Jane has penned several influential books, most notably "𝐼𝑛𝑠𝑖𝑑𝑒 𝐵𝑜𝑟𝑑𝑒𝑎𝑢𝑥", which stands as an essential guide for wine aficionados and experts alike. Her storytelling captivated us as she wove the rich history of Bordeaux with carefully curated wine pairings from its most significant regions and terroirs. To top it all off, we were thrilled to receive personally signed copies of her work.
In the afternoon, we embarked on a private tour of Bordeaux's city center, guided by the insightful Nicolle Croft. Her passion for the city brought its history to life, enriching our experience.
As the day transitioned into evening, we had the privilege of visiting Château Haut-Bailly. There, we enjoyed an exclusive tour of the estate, exploring its impressive cellars and breathtaking facilities. Dinner was a true delight, beautifully complemented by their iconic red wine. A day like this reminds us why Bordeaux is truly a wine lover’s paradise.
