Getting excited about the opening of the Blue Heron Landing Park. We will literally be able to walk our kayaks to the launch in minutes.

We are participating in Paddle for the Border on Saturday. It sounds like it’s going to be an adventure paddling for 7 1/2 miles in the rain. Wish us luck!

Hi everyone. I hope everyone is well and dealing as best as you can with Covid-19. We are on our maiden trip with our 2020 Apex Coachmen Ultra Lite here at Holiday Travel Park in Virginia Beach. It’s a great way to get out of the house and still adhere to social distancing. Your can still hike and kayak and stay within the parameters of social distancing. Don’t be like our neighbor here and have 15 people at your campsite (including children). This puts all of these people at risk along with anyone they come in contact after this weekend. As serious as this all is, we can still try to maintain some sanity through it all and follow the precautions. Anyone else va ping this weekend?

Another must see. Great people. Food and brew!

About Us....

This page is for those who camp and kayak. If you are like us, when you reserve a camp site, one of the first things you check is kayak launch sites and easy access to water. Kayaking is a great way to check out out of the way places and view wildlife. Sharing great camp/kayaking campgrounds is a great way to find the best places. Some people camp just to hang out but we like to be on the go weather it’s kayaking, wine trails, checking out historical sites, etc. Share your pictures and your finds.
