Oktoberfest came a little late to Timely Manor! Life had been super busy and I haven’t had a chance to brew since May. And the ole’ mill broke down presenting me with some efficiency challenges - resulting in this coming in a lower than expected. But despite being a little weak on abv this Marzen is great on flavor - toasty malt with a caramel backbone. Delightful! Prost!

I’m loving this Altbier! Silky mouthfeel with a malty biscuity front that finishes with a sweetness that rolls around the sides of the tongue. This is a new Timely Manor favorite! 5% and 25 IBUs. Clarified nicely too!

Dry stout and red ale make their return just in time for Corned Beef and Cabbage Day (a.k.a birthday party)! New this year - Ashley’s Own Time Altbier. This Altbier, a first at Timely Manor, came in at 5.6% (a little higher than wanted) and has superior drink ability. Biscuit nose highlights the malty flavor giving way to a sweetness that curls around the sides of the tongue. Definitely going to be a staple!!

Had the opportunity to visit Charlotte, NC last week. I may have gone a looter over budget. 😂 Visited and Such a great time and great atmosphere for a Wednesday night! The milkshake IPA at Monday Night was phenomenal and the Pilsner from Sugar Creek spectacular! Can’t wait to head back!

Happy times can’t last forever and this evening was my last shift as a Beer Tender at . Tin Cannon is closing its doors this Sunday. I have so many fond memories of TCBC. It was a home away from home for me, a place I brought my kids and my family to enjoy good beer, happy conversations, and great times. Being able to work there allowed me to learn brewing techniques, have access to commercial equipment, brew, and serve beer while talking about beer and whatever else came up. It will be extremely difficult, if not impossible, to replace having such a place where so many memories will be made.

“Time for More Presents” a cinnamon and nutmeg spiced winter ale and “Laufzeit” a German lager come to Timely Manor! TMP is an easy drinking 8.3 while Laufzeit comes in at 5.3%. Perfect for when you’re spending time with family. Or need time away! Bottling and labeling was definitely a new challenge this year.
