I have four gigs in one week and I’m digging it. It’s been a great balance to share the stage with musicians and perform as a DJ this year. As challenging as it can be, I realize I am continually connected to my community of my last 29 years through music. I thought about selling the Jammbulance, but naaa, I’m back at it this year. The narrative continues and I’m ready for it. 95% of the custom work is done. It’s taken 3 years to make my vision a reality. It’s quite the story. Shout outs to all my friends, fam, musicians, DJs, producers, supporters, dancers, artists, welders, mechanics, audio heads and community. I wouldn’t be here without you 💛 Big love for 2023. Today, I travel to the Java Barn! 🤘💛 Where it all began!! Last gig of the year! I’m so excited to be back at St. Lawrence for a stint after going through this treasure trove of photos. I really miss all y’all java beans & larrys. Wish me luck for this year’s “Melonfest”!!!

Food Trucks at the Fort — This series has been concluded for the 2022 season. I think this is a positive business move on the part of Green Empire Brewing. We’ve had inclement weather every time and it’s been difficult to build momentum. Their hope is to reorganize and relaunch. I applaud them for building a great series: ice cream, food trucks, beer garden, mini-golf and the Jammbulance. ⠀

In many ways, the Jammbulance has grown with this series. I began recording audio and video with four cameras and 18 tracks simultaneously. I engineered an excellent rain system because of the constant threats every Tuesday. I invested in a generator. And lastly, I fused my musicianship with the Jammbulance by playing in three projects: Danny & The Parts, Owen Leavey and The Pyros. ⠀

All and all, it’s been very rewarding. I’m excited for the next chapter, and some much needed Steve time.

We had to cancel tonight’s Food Trucks at the Fort. I was psyched to bring The Pyros back and play tunes with Community Garden. However, I cannot contend with lightning ⚡️ We’ll be back next week for ice cream, food, music, lawn games and community.

Tomorrow is the Nightshade Festival, and it’s been wonderful since it launched in 2017 in tandem with the Jammbulance. These events have been a significant source of belonging for me: the friendships, the musicians, the ideas. It’s one of my favorite festivals for so many reasons and I hope to see you all tomorrow : ) thanks guthrie and the whole crew! much love
