Legendary Anchor Bar was founded on a Friday night in 1964 by Dominic Bellissimo.

On that evening, Dominic and his friends came to this place, which was situated in Buffalo,NY. They all were very hungry and asked Dominic's mother, Teressa, to give them some meal. Teressa decided to prepare chicken wings, which originally were using as an ingridient for port soup. She fried wings and dosed them with a special spicy souce. This new recipe immediately became a sensation and people

from all vicinities started to arrive to this bar in order to experience a new dish. That night was a turning point in the history of Anchor Bar and flavored chicken wings became an integral part of the bar's menu. Over the time, mouthwatering taste of these wings spread across the country, but noone was able to reveal the secret Teresa's recipe and her wings were announced as "Best Wings in the World."
