Our Taproom will be CLOSED on Tuesday, September 8th so we can celebrate our FU Awesome team with an end of summer party.

As a reminder, we are open tomorrow for Labor Day from 12-7 PM with live music by Tim Britt from 2-5 PM.

A plate of hot, crispy seasoned fries topped with cheese curds and our house-made bacon jam make the perfect shareable appetizer (or keep it all for yourself, we won't judge!).

The crossover episode we didn’t know we needed!

While our Head Brewer, Cole, was visiting from Fort Myers, he took some time to explore the Niagara Gorge with our Head Cider Maker, Phil.

We love any excuse to bring our Buffalo and Fort Myers teams together, especially when it means showing off a little bit of Western New York!

Elevating cider from the glass to the plate.

I partnered with Blackbird Cider Works, owned by Resurgence Brewing Co., to create two recipes featuring their hard ciders: Ghost Lantern Cider-marinated NY strip steak and Red Barn Cider apple crisp.

GHOST LANTERN NY STRIP — serves 4

2 NY strip steaks, 14–16 oz each
1 cup Ghost Lantern Cider
2 tbsp olive oil
2 garlic cloves
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
1 tbsp honey
Fresh thyme & rosemary
Salt & pepper

Combine the marinade ingredients and marinate steaks for 2–4 hours. Pat dry, season and sear over high heat. Rest before slicing.

RED BARN APPLE CRISP — makes 4

4 apples, peeled & sliced
½ cup Red Barn Cider
1 tbsp brown sugar
½ tsp cinnamon

Crisp:
½ cup oats
½ cup flour
⅓ cup brown sugar
½ tsp cinnamon
5 tbsp cold butter

Toss apples with cider, sugar and cinnamon. Divide into 4 ramekins. Mix the crisp ingredients until crumbly and top the apples. Bake at 375°F for 25–30 minutes.

Meet Aaron!

Aaron has been part of the Resurgence team for almost a year, joining us behind the bar after his good friend Paolo (you guys remember Paolo from a previous spotlight!) told him we were hiring bartenders. Ever since, he's been bringing endless kindness and positivity to our guests and to our team.

𝗙𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗸: Nocturnal Pivo. He's never had a beer with quite the same roasted, chocolatey flavor!

𝗙𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗝𝗼𝗯: The people! He made immediate friends with everyone on the team, and there's always plenty of good vibes behind the bar.

𝗙𝘂𝗻 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝘁: He has two small dogs at home named Leo and Kermit.

An awesome bartender and an awesome guy, we're lucky to have Aaron on our team.
