π September kicked off the start of a great fall for The Rock and Roll Playhouse! Over Labor Day Weekend, we returned to the Bedford Music Festival at Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts in Katonah, NY. Headlined by The Motet, this was our second year in a row at this special Westchester festival. We also played a private event at Soho House & Co in NYC for the very first time! The Playhouse celebrated the life and music of Dolly Parton with Dolly Parton for Kids shows at both 3TEN Austin City Limits Live in Austin, TX, and Brooklyn Bowl in Brooklyn, NY. Both our Dolly Parton and Blink-182 performances at Brooklyn Bowl were SOLD OUT!
We also continued our free Brooklyn Bowl concert series in partnership with our friends at Little Spoon a leading baby food brand for kids! With their help, we are able to continue bringing free Rock and Roll Playhouse concerts to Brooklyn Bowl monthly through October. Use promo code ROCKANDROLL for 50% off your first Little Spoon order, up to $35. πͺ
π October is proving to be one of our busiest months of the year, with 27 shows confirmed, 11 of which are Halloween celebrations where we encourage families to come dressed in their Halloween costumes! π§π»ββοΈ π» We're also making our debut at Glazer Hall in Palm Beach, FL, Smith's Olde Bar in Atlanta, GA, Stable Hall in San Antonio, TX, Henry J. Kaiser Center for the Arts in Oakland, CA, and Broadside NOLA.
The Playhouse is proud to support three different organizations in October! To celebrate World Mental Health Day on October 10, we will be donating $1 from every ticket sold to our show at Thalia Hall to Backline to support their work connecting music industry professionals and their families with mental health and wellness resources. We are also partnering with UNICEF to support their annual Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF campaign this October. UNICEF provides small donation boxes that families can use while trick-or-treating, and this year they'll be sending us a supply to share at six of our shows. Lastly, since October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we are excited to partner with the American Cancer Society to support their Rock the Pink campaign! We will donate $1 from each ticket sold for eight Playhouse shows this month to support breast cancer research and services.π
We are excited to present several shows this month, including Uncle Jeb's Farm, DJ Golden Hour, and the Q Brothers at Brooklyn Bowl in Williamsburg, along with The Little Mermen at Ardmore Music Hall in Ardmore, PA! π§ββοΈ π€
We're looking forward to a busy and exciting October! πΈ
