Half Lit Smile Half Lit Smile is a team of passionate, young, excited filmmakers... simple as that. Half Lit Smile got it's name from a young man and friend named Billy Derr.

There's a long story behind it, and we're happy to share it with you if you reach out and ask, but for the sake of timeliness, let's just say Billy's personality cocktail of fun, goofy, hilarious, witty, and adventurous led his signature pose to be the one you see both here and towards the top of the screen. That was his "half lit" smile: two thumbs half up and an ostensibly confused grin. Billy p

assed away unexpectedly on April 12, 2016, and a best friend was taken from us at the young age of 24. Half Lit Smile was formed in his loving memory, and his iridescent ways will live on through our work. For Billy, we put a flare into everything we do. We're a high energy group and we love what we do.
