Thank you to everyone for coming by this weekend to help to bless Bertha. What an experience an what a blessing it is to have her.
This weekend provided so much insight to how the layout will end up so that we can function easier to be able to serve the masses.
Huge shout out to John Hinkle for delivering the trailer and taking her home. Grateful to Karen hinkle for always hanging out and jumping in where ever. She helped me all day Saturday and did not have to.
Shout out to my dad Scott Hurlbert and Shannon for coming out for a fun event and also for jumping in to help with anything we needed.
Cara’s sweet shots also welcomed a new bartener to the crew, Landi, thanks for coming and working with me Friday. You fit in perfectly and drinks were on point!
Jana Biggs came thru Saturday after work at the Quaff in the morning. She didn’t just work a double but she always shows up when it matters and knocks it out the park.
As Jana reminded me while I watched five people pack up my trailer last night that I am truly BLESSED!
Sometimes you have to step back and look at all you have, let go of any “ideas” of how you think something will go and let it just flow.
I can’t forget my hearts and the reason I continue to show hard work ethic pays off. To my children who all helped in some way this weekend. They know it’s a big weekend for me. Jeniah works Saturday night and always comes with the sass. Marcello who got a new electric bike last week was the savior on coming to help set up, delivering things in forgot at home, and hauling ice. Monet who came to support and helped with whatever was needed running to get food for us. And bringing kaior to hang out. Truly was a family night.
I had the trailer completely packed out an closed in less than an hour last night, that’s insane to think about but I could not have done it without all these people in my life, supporting, working and being present for my little ol dream and business. They all know I’d do it by myself everyday but the fact they always come out to support means the world. And I am truly !
Till the next event Bonner, and maybe some magic before then…..we have Edwardsville potatoe fest in October and in September we I’ll be at magnolia view for country line dancing.
Keep your eyes out, Evelyn’s on Oak is moving along and next year (tiblow days) we can’t wait to see you all again between Cara’s sweet shots and Evelyn’s on Oak, we will have your bar needs covered!
