Happy Friday! A little glimpse into where the magic happens.

Equal parts science, intuition, and a whole lot of tasting. Every roast gets our full attention before it ever makes its way to you.

Last weekend Austin got to step away from the roastery for a bit and hang out with you all at sagebrush markets • bringing together art + community and had the best time! Thanks to everyone who came by, said hi, and shared a coffee.

This weekend sagebrush markets • bringing together art + community 💐

We’re taking Epiphany Coffee to the market this weekend with two drinks on tap, served cold, creamy, and infused with nitrogen.

Cardi B — Cardamom Vanilla Keg Latte
Our Illuminate blend brewed as a concentrated cold brew, blended with oat milk and house-made cardamom vanilla syrup, then served on nitro for an extra smooth, foamy finish.

Roy Bruce Rose — Nitro Herbal Tea
A refreshing herbal rose tea served on nitro, with a little huckleberry making an appearance too. 🌹

We’re keeping the menu simple, delicious, and made for a weekend at the market.

And our Global Coffee Awards 2026 entries are officially out the door!

This year, we sent 10 competition entries across Filter, Espresso, Dairy Flat White, and Plant-Based Flat White — representing four coffees that each mean something different to us:

-Pacamara Honey from Don Justo’s Santa Emilia farm in El Salvador
- Natural Gesha from Santa Emilia
-Solar Flare — Claudia Milena Samboni Pink Bourbon from Finca Las Nubes in Colombia, featuring a 200-hour anaerobic process
-Electrify — the blend that helped open this whole chapter for us after receiving recognition at Global Coffee Awards last year

Going from two entries last year to ten this year feels pretty surreal.

There was a lot of roasting, cupping, sorting, tasting, adjusting, and probably overthinking that went into getting these coffees ready. Now they’re sent, and all we can do is wait and see how they stack up.

More than anything, we’re proud to represent these coffees and the people behind them, and it’s been really special seeing some of them in your hands at the same time.

Today is a special day at Epiphany!

Our first-ever Epiphany Milk Glass Mug and our new seasonal release, Solar Flare, are officially available.

We wanted to introduce Epiphany’s new logo with something that could become part of your everyday ritual, a beautiful mug in your hands. While the look has evolved, the familiar lightbulb remains. It has always represented the idea that coffee can spark inspiration, whether it’s a quiet cup before the day begins, a conversation that lasts longer than expected, or the moment an idea finally finds you.

To celebrate, we created the Solar Flare + Epiphany Milk Glass Mug Bundle. Bringing together two expressions of the same Epiphany story: a coffee that connects people across the globe and a mug that brings our work into your home.

Solar Flare is a limited summer release featuring a Pink Bourbon micro-lot cultivated by Claudia Milena Samboni at Finca Las Nubes in Huila, Colombia. Its vibrant notes of watermelon, grapefruit juice, orange zest, and rosewater are paired with Feel The Fire, an original painting by Boise artist Joelle Ater Music+Art making this release a beautiful collaboration between two women connected through cultivation, creativity, and care.

And one more reminder! Every bag of Solar Flare purchased by August 15 is automatically entered to win Joelle’s original Feel The Fire painting. If you’re one of our Conduit subscribers, you’re already entered too.

Giveaway time! Our summer specialty coffee is here, introducing Solar Flare! ☀️

This is a Colombian pink bourbon anaerobic coffee known for its floral aromatics and layered sweetness, and it’s a coffee we’ve been especially excited to release.

We’re also honored to pair it with Feel The Fire, the original painting by Joelle Ater created for this release. In Joelle’s words, “Feel the fire, you are known” was etched into the painting while thinking about the coffee name, Solar Flare. The piece represents the life-giving power of the Sun and serves as an homage to the woman who cultivated this coffee, honoring the feminine strength that creates and sustains life.

To celebrate the release, every 12oz bag of Solar Flare purchased online by August 15th will earn one entry to win the original painting. The winner will be drawn on August 16th!

Solar Flare is getting close!

This pink bourbon anaerobic has been a really fun one to roast, and we’ve been carefully tasting it between changes to keep refining the profile and bring out what we love most about the coffee.

This is going to be a fun one for the summer! ☀️

What stands out in this part is how much quality comes down to paying attention.

Coffee goes through so many transformations during roasting. In the middle phase especially, there’s so much happening inside the bean that ends up shaping body, acidity, and overall structure in the cup. Jim connected that to the way they used to watch pH and acid development in cheese before it went into brine. In coffee, you’re watching for first crack. In both, you’re looking for the signs that tell you what’s happening and where things are headed.

That’s part of what makes this conversation so meaningful. Different industries, different products, but such a similar mindset, pay attention, measure what you can, and keep learning from what the process gives you.
Trackable results are results you can improve. 💡

A lot of how Austin approaches quality was shaped early on by his dad.

Growing up under Jim meant learning to care deeply about doing things well, but also learning that improvement usually comes through willing to be evaluated, receive constructive criticism, and keep refining. That mindset has carried over to coffee in a big way.

There’s something really meaningful about seeing how those values passed down. A respect for process, a high standard for quality, and the humility to keep learning.

A lot of what we believe about quality here didn’t just show up overnight. It was built over time, and a lot of that started here.
