🌊 This is why Ripple Kind exists. 💙
Years ago in Colorado, another veteran and I pulled up to a red light.
There sat a man in a wheelchair, holding a sign: “Veteran. Anything helps.”
We parked, bought three Burger King meals, and sat in the grass beside him.
I asked, “What happened?”
He told me:
- Injured in service
- Wife left because of his wounds
- Lost his home, his job, everything
In that moment, “But by the grace of God go I” hit me like a wave.
Everyone has a story.
And I had judged too quickly.
I wrote a poem that night — “The Man Behind The Sign.” (poem in the comments below)
It changed me forever.
Now, with my wife Kim, we’ve started "Ripple Kind" — a "Buy One, Give One" mission to give backpacks, shirts, and hope to those who’ve been where I’ve been.
I didn’t know "how" when God laid this on my heart.
But when He calls, you don’t ask “how” — you say **yes**.
This is more than a business.
It’s a promise.
One backpack. One meal. One second chance.
