If you joined an album recording at a studio near OHSU with free libations and live local music as your running soundtrack,

climbed into a speakeasy school bus bound for Canby to swing out in a secret hall,

put your glad rags on to visit a 1920s/30s-themed prom for adults at Village Ballroom,

booked passage aboard the Portland Spirit for a ten-dollar field-trip to celebrate the 100th birthday o

f Sister Rosetta Tharpe,

came through for an all-day affair with nine bands four deejays and three dance acts honoring a critical era on that famed floating floor,

or attended the Oregon debut of New Orleans' own Tuba Skinny in the Grand Ballroom of Melody Ballroom, you've made a tangible contribution to an endeavor I've had the honor to produce and curate. Such support is key for bringing impossible dreams to fruition while drawing attention to a scene that took two decades to find. Because the worth of the vintage community is too important to ignore.

Whether he's keeping feet high and happy via The Gallus Brothers, feeding senses by way of Deakin Hicks, calling square dances, playing bones, or educating abroad, Sir Lucas Hicks is a long-time champion of the old-time scene. Please consider donating a fistful of dollars to help this genuine gent through a difficult time before getting back to what he does best: inspiring the people.

May its promising community be even half as kind as the one that brought so many dreams to fruition, including supportive scenes from Corvallis and Eugene. Stay tuned and thank you.
