Whether it’s entrees or desserts, chefs at this French/American establishment dazzle customers with an array of dishes that change weekly. It could be tender pork loin, curry chicken or “Plumbaya,” a twist on gumbo and jambalaya. Diners rave about the mussels, which is a Plum Local mainstay. Vegetarians can chow on fare such as pesto spaghetti with butternut squash, roasted tomato soup or other de

lights. The full bar is stocked with 43 beers, wine and cocktails such as the “Lindenwood Mojito Margarita.”
Belleville businessman Ronnie Phillips owned the space at 1011 W. for 20 years and brightened the space with his eclectic taste. He had walls painted in a rainbow of colors including the signature purple. Phillips decorated with eclectic furniture and assigned a theme to each room. Live bands round out the jovial atmosphere. Every Saturday throughout February patrons can get their groove on with Motown, Cajun or jazz music.
