Transferring the chocolate porter from the fermentation bucket to the keg today. I will let it cold crash for at least 24 hours. Then add some gelatin to clear it up and drop the solids. Then let it slow carb for at least a week. (Courtesy of Jim McFaul )

On May 7th, 1988, the U.S. Congress declared the date as National Homebrew Day. This would become the official day on which homebrewers throughout the U.S., and now the world, would gather to celebrate the craft we all know and love. CHEERS!

For those of you that homebrew and use a kegging system or have your own kegerator, I would recommend this product for cleaning the beer lines. I've been homebrewing since 1988, but just in the past few years, I started kegging, and I found this product to be a pretty handy way to clean out the lines. It may be a bit pricey, but in the long run I think it's better and easier than using gas to push the cleaning fluid through the lines.
