🥩 Steak sandwiches are a Midwest tradition we couldn't keep to ourselves.

Growing up in Iowa, these were a staple—simple, flavorful, and always a crowd favorite. Now we're introducing them here in Texas.

The recipe couldn't be easier:

🔥 Grill a thincut ribeye to your preferred doneness, slice it thin, and pile it onto your favorite bread. That's it. Add grilled onions, mushrooms, or a slice of provolone if you'd like, but honestly... a great steak doesn't need much.

Sometimes the simplest meals become the ones everyone asks for again and again.

When August temperatures climb into the 90s and 100s, a mature beef cow can drink 20–30 gallons of water every single day. On especially hot days, it can be even more.

That's why one of the most important jobs on the ranch this time of year is checking water. Every day, we make sure tanks are full, waterers are working properly, and the herd always has access to fresh, clean water.

It's one of those ranch chores that doesn't get much attention—but it's essential to keeping our cattle healthy and comfortable through a Texas summer.

The next time you refill your water bottle, just remember... one cow may have already finished the equivalent of 150–200 bottles before the day is over. 💧🐄

Somehow, we’ve gone from packing little backpacks to helping pack college dorms. ❤️

This year, our crew has 3 college students and 2 heading back to school—although Jack escaped the back-to-school photo op because athletics had him up and out the door extra early! 🏃‍♂️

Time sure has a way of flying. We’re proud of this crew and excited to see what this school year brings.
