Bright yellow for a background is not always a popular choice of color. But we should why always from colors coz they are not too popular. Do you agree?

Today was special! I got to meet the amazing “Perfect Backseat Driver” the musician, Song writer Paul Gordon I was paired with for “Art of Music” They are a team of brothers Paul, Jim and Andrew whose sound is mostly formed via acoustic tunes with folk, indie, and rock sprinkled where needed with over three decades of songwriting. Their songs are about life as they have lived it.

Thanks to for this fabulous opportunity to make art inspired by music. What makes me happy is that Paul who wrote the song “Why don’t you” thinks that I captured the essence of the song through my painting. This bring me so much joy!

Through Art of Music paired 10 local artists with 10 local musicians to created art inspired by their music.

The Art of Music will be on display in the Augusta & Co. Gallery which is located in the back of the Augusta & Co. Store and visitor’s center at 1010 Broad Street. from March 26 – June 25, 2026 with a reception held on Friday, April 3, from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Hey everyone! Here is trio of mini 4x6 paintings for Member Postcard Show
This year’s theme is green which instantly reminded me of birds in spring and how they zoom in and out among the trees in my backyard. So I had to capture them in flight through these minis.

Titled “Flight” these are done in mixed media on a deckled watercolor paper. You can frame these individually or all in one frame. Swipe to see them!

This is my piece for an incredible initiative by amazing and her team to celebrate belonging and our roots. When the artist call for Rooted came along I knew what I wanted to create.
Through my piece “Becoming” I want to acknowledge how Augusta played a role in my passion of art, how places inspired me and how the beautiful art community promoted me to pursue my dream.

Thankful for my roots and thankful for opportunities here! A very Happy 250th birthday to USA!
