Spring has arrived—and with the debut of the Garden issue, you’re invited to step into the story at Garden & Gun Club at The Battery Atlanta. Join us for a botanically inspired conversation with Alex Smith—Atlanta-based landscape designer, Shutze Award winner, and the creative mind behind one of the issue’s most captivating gardens—and Elizabeth Florio, G&G’s senior digital editor, who brought his vision to life on the page.

The morning unfolds with refreshments including a take on Mathew Meeker’s sour cream and onion caviar dip as featured in the issue, followed by a prix fixe brunch. From page to patio, the conversation continues.

The Cocktail Club: Olmstead Old-Fashioned

Spirit-forward and gently spiced, this old-fashioned takes a warmer turn in the hands of New Orleans bartender Neal Bodenheimer of Cure. Ginger, sweet potato, and pecan add a praline-inflected depth for a drink that’s meant to be sipped slowly, preferably fireside.

Cocktail instructions:
1. Stir and strain over a large cube of ice into a double old-fashioned glass.
2. Garnish with an expressed orange peel and serve.
3. Enjoy!
